Decided to come for brunch and had to circle the block a few times before I was able to find street parking. There was already... a line forming when we walked, actually there were 2 lines forming while staff was inside setting up for the day. Right beforethey opened, someone (I assumed a manager) looked at one side of the line and stated that there should only be one line andbegan letting folks in as people merged in line, which is what I thought would continue to happen but this time she instructedeveryone to move to the other side and for people to use the "honor system" (ha that still exist?) everyone on the other sidethen subsequently went to the end of the line, despite having already stood outside for awhile anticipating going in. Thisimmediately irked me. I could see if there was a sign on the door stating to form ONE line or something but there wasn't. Onceinside, you are reminded that this is a CASH ONLY establishment but lucky for you there's an ATM inside. I ordered thebreakfast burrito and really like it, I could've done without the bean on the bottom of the plate but it was massive and good. The steak and eggs wasn't bad but the steak was very chewy. I wasn't too impressed, server wasn't attentive and seemed almostdismissive, in fact after I took a picture, I had a different server ask if everything was okay with my meal but approached thetable strongly (don't know how to explain) like there was a problem that I snapped a photo. I've been to other locations andhave not had this experience. Ive loved the other location, food and service. This was a first and last for me. Vibe totallywas off. Read more

The food options here are amazing. The food is very well made. There is a great selection of choices and with our without meat.... Also the coffee here is from La Colombe, so that's a plus if you enjoy their roast. The drinks had very interesting choices aswell. Everything was fresh and well seasoned and made to order. Staff are friendly and attentive. Read more

CASH ONLY *** An overall wonderful experience from start to end. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the... restaurant has a great menu. I ordered the velvet pancakes that were served with strawberries and the cream brûléecoffee. The velvet pancake was so delicious, great texture, soft and fluffy, loved the generous amount of strawberries servedwith my dish and my beverage was great as well. The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating, I noticed they wereinteracting with all the customers. Read more

The moment we got there the female host outside was leaning on the post where she?s stationed as if she?s bored and hate her... job. It seemed off from the second we walked up. The host stopped us and asked if we would like to be inside or outside and wechose indoors since it?s 90 degrees. As we went indoors we weren?t greeted or told we had to wait, instead we just waitedlooking confused. A waitress came inside and we asked her a question and she responded and we are the only ones waiting at thetime. A couple comes in after my bestfriend and I, the host comes straight to the caucasian couple that came in minutes later, when she already greeted us and seen us there alone waiting to be seated. I felt uncomfortable when the couple had to tell themwe were there first, especially when they knew this already. Things get worse. Our waiter comes over and goes MIA for a littlewhile. Then finally shows up and we order our drinks and he asked if we were ready to order our food, we replied yes and hestill left. He brought out our drink, the strawberry fresh and when he did bring it out it tasted like seltzer water, not like astrawberry alcoholic fruity drink. We asked him for a new drink and he persisted that he can make the drink taste better, andhonestly it did taste better, but no one else was sending their drinks back to be remade. Another thing which was strange isthat I didn?t see any black employees. But anyways, we finally received our food after another table was there after else andordered way more than us. Also the waiter kept going to tables that he fixed already to re fix, it was just very unprofessionaland seemed to reek of favoritism (you know what i mean by that.) Anyways the food was good, my best friend said his creoleshrimp and grits were cold, but my steak and eggs were good and hot. I would just try another green eggs cafe next time, butthis is the last time for this location. The waiter is in one of my photos by the way. Also you can tell in one Read more

Green Eggs Cafe is a well-known brunch spot in Philadelphia I've been to a few times. Today I ordered delivery and got the Short... Rib Benedict with Rosemary Potatoes and Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with French Fries. The food was delivered really fastand the portions were big. My only complaint is that the chicken sandwich wasn't as crispy as I thought it was and the frenchfries were way overdone. Sometimes French Fries can be a hit or miss and this was one of the times. I recommend getting theRosemary Potatoes if you have a choice with the sides. Read more
