My husband and I love to come to Gleaner's Cafe to relax and talk. It is not the largest place in the world, but that's okay. It... is small, intimate, and the decor has lots of personality :) And I love that this exists in the heart of the ItalianMarket. Unique coffee shops are kind of my hobby, and Gleaner's fits the bill. Love their interesting drinks. I gotta say,though, I wish that they accepted more than just cash. I never carry cash for safety reasons, so I have to make sure to hit upan atm or a cash-back pharmacy before I go here. But it is worth it. I just can't say enough great things about this staff. Life can be chaotic and exhausting, but Gleaners is always a welcome and... needed dosage of kindness, simplicity and, of course, caffeine :) I hope they realize how well loved they are by theneighborhood and beyond. My new favorite coffee spot! I ordered one of the specials and I wasn?t disappointed; Half coffee half hot chocolate! What made... my experience even more brighter, was the beautiful ladies and their bright attitudes! The art in the shop was so dope anddifferent woman made the quilts on the wall! Amazing customer service. Extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area, felt very welcomed during my first visit. They even... put a cute stocking sticker on my cup before giving it to me. Perfect little spot in the Italian Market. Was recommended it by a friend and will be a regular spot to visit. Had coffees and... bagel sandwiches with my partner and she loved that majority of the menu was vegetarian friendly. The bagels and ingredientstasted fresh and coffee was some of the best I've had in a while. Look forward to visiting in the future. Read more
