Reviews for Federal Donuts North in Philadelphia, PA
I give my chicken sandwich a 2. The fries and sauce they give were good. I do want to go back and try the donuts. However for... the price of this tiny chicken sandwich I would never go back and get that. Read more
For no reason, I waited a long time to eat here and then I read an article mentioning that their coconut curry wings are very... good, so I decided to check them out and they don?t even serve coconut curry wings or the chicken sandwich on a glazed donutthat we saw online. But service was friendly and we decided to stay. We got some over priced donuts, the best is the cinnamonsugar and the strawberry one was real good. But their sandwich was ok, nothing to brag about. Their Za atar fries is just likeblack pepper seasoning. Pretty disappointing. The place is cute. Read more
We went toward the end of the day so they were out of most donuts. The chicken sandwich was delicious but the fries were a... little dry. Read more
I'll give 2 stars for the donuts & coffee but honestly folks, DONT ORDER THE CHICKEN SANDWICH!! Once upon a time it was juicy,... tender, crispy & seasoned perfectly but every one I've had over the past year is gross. What's worse is that they charge $8 fora cafeteria bun with an overdone stringy dry chunk of something resembling chicken. I tried to eat it because I was starving andcouldn't just toss $8, but in hindsight the $8 would've tasted better.. sooo tough. Unless you're gonna change something aboutthe preparation I think you should take it off the menu. I'm really tired of giving it another chance, only to find out it'seven worse. Realistically I've probably thrown $50+ in the trash, hoping that they were dealing with Covid problems and thatdelicious sandwich from years ago would come back. But I give up.. Here is a photo of today's disaster, Read more
Quite possible that Federal Donuts has the best chicken fingers on the planet. The chicken wings are also fantastic.
C'mon, it's Federal Donuts ????! What is there not to like? Every town should have a go-to donut shop and for Philly it's... Federal Donuts. Yes, they have the fancy donuts for the gourmand but if you like a more traditional donut, they have those too.I enjoy almost all of them (they're not making them just for me, so that's fine - there's something for everyone... assuming youlike donuts [what kind of monster doesn't like donuts?!?!]). Did I mention the chicken? Word is that it's pretty fantastic. Ihad a breakfast sandwich and let's just say that in my scramble to gobble it down, I forgot to snap a pic. It was delicious andthe spicy relish made it extra-special Read more
I?ve been coming here for years with my kids and husband. Today I ordered 7 chicken sandwiches along with a dozen donuts. EVERY... SINGLE SANDWICH I GOT WAS BURNT & ALMOST BLACK. It wasn?t even good enough to eat as it even tasted saltier than usual. I?m noteven driving back since I live in Jersey and refuse to go back. But come on, have some ethics. You know you burned the batchthen remake it even if it takes a little longer. I called 4 times, the place is empty (cause I just left there and there?s 3employees) - someone can pick up the phone. Thee worst $100 spent thus far. I?ll take the longer drive and go to Samson instead.Absolutely Ridiculous. Read more
These donuts are definitely unique! The flavors change with the seasons, which is nice. Pumpkin was a happy sight for me as... autumn just started. As odd as it sounds though, they're too sweet. They're all covered in glaze and then loaded with moretoppings and drizzles...it's a lot. I could barely eat a whole one. I'm in sugar overload. But, this is simply my taste budsbeing a bit different. Lol The staff was extremely friendly and I tried Vietnamese Iced Coffee for the first time ever. This wasan experience I'll only find in Philly. Thank you! Read more
