Reviews for Famous Franks A-lot in Philadelphia, PA
If you want amazing cornbread and wings this is the place to go. We tried the blueberry cornbread and the honey bbq wings. The... wings just came out the oven, we wanted more but they were sold out for the day. Read more
Had an unpleasant experience here on 10/23. First timer and last timer. First off the mgr had an attitude when we asked when... she?d be open. It was 10:53. Her words were ?I ain?t openin until my cashier get here?. Fine. Then my family and myself orderwhen they DO open and it went so slow. We stood there 10min and not a single customer moved. The staff never made eye contact oracknowledged anyone in line, no Good Morning, etc. Very rude. The one worker, she had locs, was very rude to my dad overcornbread. Apparently there?s a three limit on cornbread and my dad had only 3 but his wife wanted 2 more SEPARATELY ON HERORDER. And the loc?d worker told my dad rudely about the cornbread policy but my dad didn?t order more, his wife did. They thentook her cornbread back unfairly even tho we said they were ordering food separately, not togther. They then had a bunch of foodpiled up and gave his wife the wrong platter that was someone else?s. No apologies or anything. I politely tried to get theloc?d worker?s attention saying Excuse Me a few times and she never bothered turning around. We said we would NEVER come backhere again. That was enough for me as a 1st timer.\n\nEdited to add: We got our food home, it was okay. 6.5/10. The grilledwings were good, mac and cheese was good (I had better), string beans were tasteless, roll was burnt and they didn?t have butteron it like advertised, and the peach cornbread may as well been regular cause there wasn?t nay peach flavor to it. The potatosalad was disgusting. It comes straight out of a bucket. It?s a white mayonnaisey mess they have the nerve to charge $5 for. Ifyou don?t believe me, ask for potato salad and ask if it comes in a bucket, it does. Read more
Awesome mac and cheese, but otherwise not a lot of veggie options. Really popular spot.
So the food was amazing!!! But the communication sucked! I ordered 6 wings, Mac & cheese, 2 cornbreads and a drink?. Came to... $35 and change?. I was stumped but the line was really long so I paid it. Found out I got what I ordered plus 12 wings?. Don?tget me wrong, it was delicious! Then today the charged $5 more to my card?. ??? Way to up-sell! I don?t care how good it was, don?t steal from people that can?t afford to pay B more! Read more
My husband and I stopped at the market before the Dead and Co. show to kill some time. Terrible idea. We decided to stop here... for a quick bite, we both had the BBQ wings & mac and cheese. About an hour after we ate we got extremely sick to our stomachs.I couldn\'t leave the bathroom for almost two hours. My husband ended up passing out after throwing up so many times. Avoid thisplace at all costs! We poured hundreds of dollars down the drain on concert tickets because of a few bad wings and some blandmac and cheese! STAY AWAY!!!! Read more
I tried Frank?s awhile ago and I absolutely loved their food. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, potato salad, and their... cornbread. I was impressed with all of it, the cornbread was definitely my favorite part. Wait in line was pretty long but it?sdefinitely worth it for the good food! Read more
I love this place! The perogies are extra gooey and soft in the middle while the outside is pleasantly crunchy on the edges.... Same for the honey BBQ chicken - it?s baked and super tasty. I?ve also tried the cornbread a few times. They have apple, cranberry, and blueberry cornbread, which is delicious. One of my favorite places to visit when in Philly! Read more
The wings looked really good, but they did not taste how the look. They were very plain and dry. The Mac n cheese and fries were... also not good. The whole meal was disappointing. We spent almost $40 here and waited on a very long line. I wish I would?ve readthese reviews first. Read more
