My first time coming here. I was impressed with the amount of food they gave you, a large platter was enough for two adults to... eat. I had the oxtails and they were cooked perfect and plenty, candied yams were delicious, the Mac n cheese was ok and plenty.I will be back! The cook is very skilled. Sometimes the food is a hit or miss. I won?t stop coming back. I love the curry shrimp! He makes it... fresh. The jerk chicken is the best I have ever had. I haven?t had any other restaurant that mastered the texture. It?s NEVERdry or undercooked. The portion sizes for chicken are really huge too. I love it. It?s just the sides that need work. Woke up with a craving for some good ackee & salt fish. This was the only place that I could find nearby that was open at... 8am. Stopped in and was greeted and order taken immediately with a few options given. Unfortunately, there were no friesplantains so instead I had to get the boiled banana. Instead of the boiled dumpling I decided on the fried ones and received 3large dumplings. This large portion(at least for me and it was a small) was only $9. Ok on to the taste. It really wasn't badat all. I wasn't expecting much flavor but there was and it was fresh, didn't taste like it was just warmed up. Small lil cozyplace.
