Unquestionably the best place to grab a bite in Philadelphia, best food at the lowest prices. You?ve never seen pancakes as big... as the ones they serve here, fresh mashed potatoes, literally everything on the menu is unbelievable. I fed my entire family ofseven people for $37 and the service was so amazing my tip was actually higher than the bill. You must eat here. Read more
Fabulous breakfast eatery. We stopped by two days in a row for breakfast. The pancakes are the best we have had and we have... tried many different pancake places. :) The staff are very pleasant, service is very quick and efficient. The food arrivesquickly and is made well. Everything is very clean. It is diner style seating and so there may be a wait or alternatively youcould take a to go order and eat in the larger common area in the market. The pancakes are large and topped with a generousdollop of butter. The eggs are light and fluffy. The bacon is the real deal: thick cut and well cooked. Fresh homemadestrawberry jam at the table. The Apple dumpling is huge and perfect for sharing. We enjoyed the food and experience very much.Definitely check them out. :) Read more
You must try the ?Apple Dumplings? if you are visiting the Dutch Eating Place inside the Reading Terminal Market! This was our... first dish (dessert) to try from this place and it was warm and comforting to eat with coffee as a afternoon snack! Anothergreat thing about here is their hospitality/service! I love how the lady treated us entire time when we were there! She wasreally nice & kind, and also asked first to take pictures for us! The Apple dumpling: It seems like they put the whole entireapple inside the dough and the cinnamon was not too overpowering, it was right amount of spice & sweetness to make this dish sodelicious! Their pancakes also look really good so we will definitely come back this place to try their other breakfast/brunchdishes! I?m pretty sure all their dishes made with flour will be great since the apple dumpling we had was really soft &creamy! Their homemade lemonade was really refreshing, not too sweet, and didn?t taste like artificial flavored drink like younormally get from other places! Read more
AMAZING!!!!! I could eat here EVERYDAY. The breakfast was amazing, very generous portions, fresh butter, homemade strawberry... preserves, and a very friendly staff. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! When I come back next month I will be here every day forbreakfast. YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!!!!! Read more
I ordered pancakes and it tasted extremely floury. My potatoes were completely hard. I tried several times biting it but it... wasnt edible. No one likes to waste their money but I definitely felt that I wasted mine here. Nothing was worth what Ipaid. There wasn't enough effort nor skill put into the dishes. Unfortunately I will not be coming back here again. Parking istough because it's in reading terminal. And it is hard to find a seat most times. Read more
As everyone says very fast service, I don't know how the 2 women at the griddle do it the entire counter plus to go. Our food... came out in under 3 minutes The egg bacon jam sandwich was great The French toast very good and had to get scrapple. Not mytaste but my gf enjoyed it. Extremely good service, and food. It will be very difficult to make your mind out the great choices, I went for the Grilled... Reuben Special, my son for the Philly Cheesesteak, we weren't disappointed, you won't be either. The place has a dinner-stylebar, fast service too, be careful the food is freshly cooked, aka hot.
