This place is amazing! It is probably one of my favorite pizza places in the area. They make the food quickly they have pickup,... delivery, and in store dining. Their French fries are also one of my favorites as well. Read more

The classic greasy pizza alternative to Clarkville and now green line too??? This guy just started doing breakfast sandwiches... (and a breakfast menu). They are made FRESH to order. Price wise it's the same as local cafes that warm the sandwiches up andthese are more filling. If you're in west Philly or university city and you want a breakfast sandwich, come here. Not a chain. Not a lil hip cafe (hey I'm not saying green line makes a bad coffee). Just a man making breakfast. Honestly the neighborhoodlacks real diners and colonial is stepping in to fill that void. Read more

Colonial does most of their business by delivery, but they also have slices to cover the basic topping requests like pepperoni... and others depending upon how busy they are, it would seem. I ordered my usual go-to, cheese which I enjoyed eating rightthere. Original plan was to take and eat on the way back from the supermarket, but I was too hungry and frankly, I was enjoyingthe respite from carrying my grocery bags. It's just fun sometimes to watch those guys get the grub out like a well oiledmachine. Next time, I need to try a calzone, steak sandwich, or pasta to experience more of the potential of this simple, friendly, neighborhood pie shoppe. I'll probably still grab a slice for the walk home. ???????? Read more

Philly pizza isn't good. Thank God these guys are from Jersey. Definitely the best regular, affordable pizza in the area, and... one of the best in the city. If you want artsy fartsy vegan pesto artichoke pizza for $30, go to Clarkville. If you want acheesy, topping-loaded, New York/Jersey pie for under $20, order from Colonial. You'll notice the negative reviews are notabout the food. They're about "I called the single phone line when they were at their busiest so they could fix an order Imessed up, and they weren't very nice to me!". Again, Jersey. Great food, what else matters? I just ordered food. I ordered the chicken nugget platter, macaroni and cheese bites, Stromboli and a piece of cheesecake. The... only thing about this order that was pretty much good was the fries and a cheese whiz I ordered on the side. The cheesecakelooks pretty good I haven?t eaten it. I ordered a Stromboli and got a calzone. It?s a big greasy mess. The chicken nuggets werebasically frozen sponges deep-fried. As much money as they?re charging for this food especially the macaroni and cheese bites isjust ridiculous . They?ve been in business for 20 years and they serve garbage. No pride at all. Read more

I called and wanted to order a small cheese steak Stromboli with sauce steak and an extra sauce on the side very very simple... they send me this a look like half eating Stromboli with nothing but cheese and sauce and then when I call back the guy tells methat it's my fault for not making sure that the order was right because I'm the one that's on the phone taking the order andtelling them what to make yeah that's my fault and then they proceeded to charge me more for their mess up and the guy was veryvery rude and ignorant yelling on the phone being very very disrespectful telling me to just eat that and call it a night I willnever ever order from this place again in my life and the food is not that good Read more

Its difficult not to enjoy pizza, and this wasn't that bad. But it reminded me of a mass produced frozen pizza hut crust and... assuming this wasn't a fluke, I can taste the cheap quality. The fries were soft rather than crunchy which some people preferbut not me. Still they were totally edible and I finished them off. Update: tried again nearly two years later, still sub-par..I'd rather pay less at a pizza chain and get a pizza from people who have mastered using cheap ingredients. Read more
