Reviews for Canto House in Philadelphia, PA
Too expensive the roast pork and the roast duck And the quality with the roast pork is bad .all Burnt the bottom.
I love their food, but I want them to open back up for dine in. Traveling in from NJ makes it hard to enjoy their food when I... have no where to eat it. Read more
Made a quick trip to Philly to get some eats! We didn't stop in here to eat, but picked up some bbq meats to bring home. Got the... roast pork and ribs, poached chicken and roast duck. All super tasty and all worth getting again. The roast pork and ribs wereon the sweeter side, but still good flavor. Meat was a little leaner than what I'm used to, but not dry. The ribs disappeared assoon as we opened the lid to the container when we got home! The poached chicken had the right amount of seasoning, but it didcome with a small container of ginger and scallion oil/sauce. Didn't need it, but thankfully, I've always got a stash of the oilhomemade and in my fridge. Duck was tasty and not gamey. The pork and duck were darker in color than I'm used to. If/when Imake it to Chinatown in Philly again, I'd stop here to pick up more to bring home. Read more
It was a spur of the moment thing for lunch spending some time in China town . Kinda a fancy fare in a little shop but man it... had some flavor . I got the #20 prime rib wrapped in a crepe with some mustard sauces . Didn't care for the raw beans andpeppers but mainly cause I don't like raw vegetables. Bride got the #15 teriyaki chicken that was gone before I blinked .Everything was actually tasty in a pleasant atmosphere... what I found weird was no sodas or juices . Just bottled water and aChinese tea . Read more
To be honest I don?t like their crispy duck, it doesn?t taste fresh and crispy at all. Also the taste is weird too, but their... Soy sauce chicken is pretty good. Read more
We are from Baltimore and love this place. We had not been back since the pandemic until today and were very happy with our... whole duck, roast pork, and beef chow fun. In fact, the last time we visited (before the pandemic), we bumped into the owner ofour favorite Chinese restaurant in Baltimore county, and she told us this was the best place. The woman behind the counter wasvery polite and helpful. The other people buying food were locals, one telling me this was the best place. My mother lives inCalifornia and said the food quality was as good if not better than what she gets there. Read more
No indoor dining is still at this point. The taste is great in general, if the skin would be crispier that'd be great. A whole... duck is $28. Read more
Half of the roast duck serving are necks? I would rather pay more to get a better part.
