Mediocre is becoming a part of some "new normal." First time trying this space was in August. At that visit, the platter wasn't... prepared as requested. During the visit on 10-6-22, this was shared with a manager/owner(?) who assured that that's not what hewanted for this experience + offered to do better this time, also offering a small treat. The customer service was definitelythere + so was the energy, but the food + presentation missed the mark of the intention. Decreasing food + serving sizes, withrising prices that just don't match. It's all quite discouraging (eating "out"). Read more

Amazing discovery! We were looking for Ethiopian food and found this gem ! The Philadelphia inquirer did a review on the... restaurant , and dinner couldn't be better. With suggestion of the nice gentleman who took care of us. We ordered the veggiecombo with stir fry style lamb and the meat specialty. The samosas are out of this world with the home made sauce . Thedecoration of the restaurant is welcoming, authentic and nice. Great dinner experience. We'll be back. Read more

Just ok! there is better ethiopian food in the city. I got delivery today and added a side of gomen. The combo I got had two... types of beef which were alright. Ok tenderness but the flavor was minimal. The lentils and veggies on side were all cooked wellbut again, not much big flavor. The injera isn?t too sour, it?s light and fluffy. The lamb dish I got to try was tough, greasy, gamey loin chops. Super overcooked, and the yellow soup it was in was sort of flavorless and thin. Overall, fresh and lightveggies but the meat dishes were plain and similarly flavored. Read more

As thus place opened up in the heart of the pandemic we were totally unaware of it. And it is literally around the corner from... us next to Greensgrow. My wife and I, both many years in the restaurant industry, have been in West Philly 20+ years but canhonestly say we just had the best Ethiopian meal to date. Everything was quite obviously freshly prepared. The manager (who'sname I'm embarrassed to say I have forgotten) made excellent recommendations as well as being very kowledgeable about the food. What came out was an amazing array of the most wonderfully spiced assortment. The staff was so welcoming and pleasant.. Whatreally topped it off was getting a chance to meet and thank the chef/owner and her husband. They have certainly reset the barfor Ethiopian food to a new high. I could highlight specific dishes but to be perfectly honest, just trust the managersrecommendations. Read more
