I got delivery last night and wasn't notified by the driver when they dropped it off, by the time I realized it was there the... fries were cold and soggy and the kebab was chewy and luke warm. I normally love the kebabs and don't mind the extra deliveryfees, plus I tip a minimum of 20%, so I consider it a special treat paying 40% more than I would for a pick up order. Being 20minutes late at the end of the night is no big deal, but just dropping my delicious dinner outside in the cold for anyone tograb, it was on the steps, not between the doors, which would have been much safer and warmer, really ruined my meal Read more
Fantastic pita sandwiches. Definitely try the "special sandwich" with fries inside. So good. They also have delicious baklava... and other small desserts, and the best hummus and pita for takeout. Definitely worth a stop. Read more

Where 1 star = tragic and 5 star = Owwwwww Popping Here you can grab food to... go, sit and eat in the low key communal dining table, alone, with your child, or a friend for a quick self service bite. Shopfor quick Arab grocery goods, like Ayran (my fav), olives in brine, home made hummus, pita, baklava, and other traditionalfavs. Food- 5 stars. Had the Hummus, falafel, bakala. All on point. Customer Service- 4 stars. Standard and efficient Value-5 stars. You get a good tasty portion for your money. Ambiance/ Decor- 4 stars Standard & expected for what it is. Quick bitesmarket store. I always wanted to try this place because of the reviews. We ordered chicken kebab and falafel combo. The chicken was very dry... and lacks flavor. We were both missing the pita so not sure how we are supposed to eat the hummus. Rice on the combo was hard.This is the first time and I am very disappointed. We can?t even finish the food. Their pastries are amazing!! Came here for a falafel sandwich and got a pistachio baklava as well, very happy I did. Want to... come back and try some of their other dishes, chicken was recommended and the hummus looked good. Read more
Bitar's is one of my favorite places for takeout in Philly and my go-to for really delicious falafel, hummus and stuffed grape... leaves. The owners are really friendly and take pride in their business. Read more
