I went to the buffet waffle tasted like eggo waffle. Food was cold and not fresh clearly had been sitting in the trays. Chicken... was greasy and overcooked on the outside. Fish was cold and thin mostly caked in batter. Kiwi wasn't even peeled properly withskin still on it. The hostess gave us a hard time moving tables when most of the area was empty anyways. I am quite surprised at the overall rating of Bernie's. I just had dinner there and the meal was very disappointing. Everything... was so slow. We waited forever for our drinks which was nothing compared to the wait for the food. We were not in a huge rushand was having good conversation but the wait for food became ridiculous. The worst thing was when the food came out it was nothot. The burger I ordered was very well done which is not how I ordered it. It was so late and with having to get home to thesitter, we weren't about to send anything back. The atmosphere was good and the acoustics allowed good conversation but we willnever go back. Bernie's has this $25 bunch with bottomless mimosas. I have to say they have a nice variety to chose over with a carving... station, waffle making, omelettes, and pancake making on the spot. Bar OK, but would not recommend food. The turkey burger was $13, just a pattie between two breads, not particularly tasty. The... fries were ordinary. Took a while for the card to be returned after charging and then another while for the food to arrive. Thebar did not have two drinks that were on the menu. I worked with Sean at Bernie's to set up bartending for an event held at the University of Pennsylvania, and couldn't have been... happier with my choice to hire them. Throughout the process, Sean and his staff were professional and courteous. They had noproblem working within my budget. On the day of the event the bartender, Marty, showed up on time, with all of the neededequipment. He was super friendly, helpful, and easy to work with.
