We were attending a concert at the Met and researched this establishment prior to checking it out in person. The facade was very... inviting and I loved the decor. Sat at the bar and the atmosphere was lively! The woman sitting next to me had this beautifulspecialty cocktail... the punch. Not only beautiful but so delicious! There was a domino effect because everyone down the bardid the same as I!!! We ordered a couple of appetizers... pleasing to the eye & the palette. Had a wonderful experience here. Bar H is a well oiled machine. Excellent atmosphere and service. Outdoor space is very... inviting. Nice to go to a local establishment that is thoughtful in their wine presentation. Excellent beer and drink menu. Theboard option allows you to design the perfect taste for your mood and align food with your beverage choice. The mushroomsandwich is one of the best in the city. First time at this spot and will definitely be back! Unique and super tasty menu; the boards concept is a great way to try... multiple items and still have room for a main. Lemon meringue IPA was excellent ???? but the biggest star was the burger ????which we got medium rare and it was perfection. Read more
First time we went there the food was good but the drinks were terrible.The drinks did not have any alcohol in them and tasted... like soda. We tried two different drinks and it was the same for both. The second time, the food was bad. The mac and cheesebites were some huge cubes of unseasoned mac and cheese and they tasted stale and the fries were sitting in a cheese soup.Thechicken bits were not cut well, they were too large and the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way through. It was gummy and slimy.I advise you to take your money somewhere else. The only saving grace of this place is the comfy seating…. But then again, thelights are a little too bright. We stopped by on a Friday night and it was super busy but we were able to be seated pretty quickly for a party of 2. We were... served promptly and COVID safety measures were observed (masked up staff, QR code menu, distanced tables). We had the New CarSmell and it was actually really good! Pronounced hyoo·guh, this is a brew pub turned up a notch. As you walk up, they have lots of outdoor seating and even tables... with little shelters built around them. We went on a Friday evening and it was busy but we were still able to be seatedimmediately. Their beer selection is great and their food menu is quite interesting. They have a few entrees (I went with thefish and chips, tons of food), but the main attraction are there "boards". Basically you get to pick a collection of small plateofferings. My wife ordered the mac n cheese bites, bratwurst and salmon ceviche. They were all delicious and their fries areoutstanding. Read more
The food was fantastic and the layout of the restaurant is perfect for a casual cocktail and apps kinda get together. They offer... tables you can sit at and there are some places at the bar too. The burger I had was one of the best I’ve had in a long timeand the rest of my tables food was also great. They were busy and service was a tiny bit slow, but really it’s not a dealbreaker. As a bonus they have outdoor seating in what kinda looks like mini sheds and it’s a really cool way of doing it. Theprices are also ok with some cocktails being more expensive than others, but nothing out of the ordinary here. Overall a greatplace to visit with friends. Read more
Normally really good but I ordered the chicken sandwich to go and it was pink and undercooked throughout the middle.... Disappointed with the prices I paid for it. Literally raw at some places. Couldn’t finish eating it. Read more
