I really wanted to like this place because The ambiance was nice but the food was very average. The Pizza was super hot and hard... & the wings were just unenjoyable? I brought them home to my dog. The key lime pie was exactly that???? it tasted So bitter likelime was the only ingredient. I?m only giving 3 stars because the location is super convenient , after my show I was able towalk here. Intimate dining area and super friendly staff. Our group couldn?t pronounce 90% of the menu items but the waiter was happy to... teach us and joke about it which was great! Everyone from our group of 7 ordered a 4 course meal for restaurant week. Theprices were extremely reasonable and the food came out very fast. Seemed to have many dessert options, including gelato and pastries. Extensive menu for desserts and general menu. Personal... pizzas available but a bit pricey. They have a white pizza and regular pizza section. I ordered the Crostino off the white pizzasection. It had a little too much ham for my taste, which made it salty. I liked the unique rectangular shape but the way it wascut was strange. Not too many seats available but there were no people when I dined in around 3p. Seems like people go more forthe desserts or for takeout. There is a bar and I noticed they have hooks underneath the counter bar for bag holding. Read more
Well ive seen and been in a few Italian restaurants in my life i ha e to say that Alice is way on top of a very short list of... places ive been world wide. Pasta amatriciana is a must not many places get it right even though its a simple dish, just theright amount of tomato, salt and the pancatta is tender. The coffee is excellent get yourself a cappuccino forte its verynice. The staff always have a smile on their face. And the price is excellent. Read more
So this is our second visit in four days. The first time we had the Philly pizza, a pepperoni pizza, an excellent wine, some... desserts and ice cream. The experience was soooooo amazing, beginning with the service which was amazing (thanks Dom) in a cityfull of restaurants were most had really poor customer service if any at all. the food is something you really have to try. Somepeople recommend to try the Philly cheesesteaks but I personally recommend this place. Pictures from our second visit (yes itdeserved a 2nd visit and thanks again Dom!!!). This is an amazing restaurant! They have both dine-in and counter service options for pizza & gelato. I did dine-in this time,... but have also just dropped in for gelato in the past. Lot's of great flavors for gelato, and unique pizza toppings. They offerboth red sauce and white sauce pizza choices. Staff is always very attentive and friendly when I dine in. Counter service alwaysmove pretty fast so you can get in and out quickly. Would definitely recommend visiting! Read more
Located one block from the Academy of Music in Philly, this restaurant is a true gem, a terrific find made by my partner. Alice... is well-known for its Roman-style pizza or pizza al taglio. Since we didn't have a reservation for pre-theater lunch yesterdaywhose wait was 45 minutes, we decided to grab a few slices and sat by the window. This pizza is often cut with scissors sold bythe weight and they have a number of choices - including classic like tomato pie, we also ordered a number of other choices -diavola, salsiccia e funghi, pachino e bufala and funghi e quattro. We ordered 2 slices each of the Funghi e Quattro Formaggi(Mushrooms, Four Cheeses) and Pachino e Bufala (cheese, basil and tomato). These have to be one the best thin crust, airy andcrispy pizza we had. They were on the pricier list side as expected but the quality was very good which we can highly recommendit. Read more
