I’ve been to Cajjun Eats a few times for brunch and dinner. The food is really good, the grits and fish were the highlights.... The drinks are strong. It’s a nice vibe for brunch or late night. Husband and I was told by another couple from NOLA that this was the place to have good food and good music. We were out running... errands in the area and and decided today will be a good time to enjoy your mail. Enjoy a good music. so far our experience, wecan state that it was really good no complaints. Our drinks were served cold. And the food was served hot. The flavor was there.I had the loaded swap fries, with a Gator Juice and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and my husband had the seafood Mac. Our Server wasnice and helpful with the menu; She sold me on her recommendations and tried everything she sold me on no complaints there onthe food. We will be back again ?? Read more
Some of the best gumbo that I've had in a long time. I chose the chicken, sausage and shrimp gumbo with some grilled shrimp on... the side. Always my go-to when I'm in the area. You won't be disappointed. Read more
Disappointed, The vibes and atmosphere are great. The food is ok. We ordered the motherclucker for brunch, waited almost an... hour. I had french toast with mine. Chicken and French toast “extra crispy” ie burnt. Hard as a rock. Tell the waitress andshe says let me get the owner. Why? There’s not a process in place for dissatisfied orders except bugging the owner? 5 minlater shes still walking around with my plate. And asks if i want a whole new sandwich or just replace those items? Um i had anissue with those items so just replace them. She brings a whole new sandwich out, no syrup, 5 min wait for that. French toastare still super crispy “deep fried” but they need a different batter cause that’s not it. Owner never came. Drinks weregood. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, attended just after the outdoor patio was completed, and even on a cold Friday night, they... managed to keep the space warm, while still ventilated in case anyone had concerns about COVID protocols. Great service,well-seasoned food! I had the Cajjun Swamp Grits and they tasted great. Will definitely be going there again. Read more
I moved here from Houston so I can honestly admit my expectations were probably too high. First, why did my boyfriend’s... chicken taste like fish? I strongly don’t recommend this place for food . It seems like my fish was fried in old grease.Lastly, I was completely caught off guard when I was told “ no outside drinks ” when it’s OUTSIDE? - No there was not asign. I do recommend this place for the Vibe and the VIBE only. I’ll try it again in a couple of years. Just seems like aplace that needs professional help. Read more
I absolutely love the vibe of this place. I went on a Thursday and it was karaoke night! It starts at 8p! I got there at 7 and... had some fried shrimp with some fries and ordered some Mac and cheese on the side. If you go there with people the Mac andcheese is enough to share between 3ppl at the most. The food was amazing. I thought that it would be too spicy for me becausewhen you think Cajjun you think about it being spicy, but it was flavorful! It is a bit pricey but worth it! Read more
Food was good, we had the fish, wings and mac n cheese, with fries. Fish and wings had a good flavor, mac was definitely a quick... fix mac not baked mac and cheese and the roll was a store bought, balled up roll that they could have left off the meal. Withall of that said we ordered to go to bring back to our hotel room, as we aren’t from the area, we asked for plenty of ketchup,the hostess came back and told us we’d have to use ketchup at home because they were out of ketchup packets. We explained thatwe weren’t from the area and she suggested that we stop at a mcdonalds for ketchup instead of offering to give us ketchup inthe cups that the tartar sauce came in, we asked for four, she came back with two and said thats all she could give us, we had 5pieces of fish as well as fries, certainly wouldn’t have been enough, and wasnt asking for much to get more having spent $40.They eventually gave us more but between all of the hassle our food was cold by the time we got back to our room.
