Quiet place for Sunday night dinner when you don't want to cook. Clean tables and friendly service.
I decided to go to Captain D's on Crater Rd. I haven't been there in a while, but I always enjoyed the Big Fish sandwich. I... asked the pleasant cashier to request fresh lettuce to ensure the lettuce wouldn't be wilted. The cashier made the request andthe cook asked her to repeat. The cook made a rude comment. Cashier replied, "watch your mouth." Correcting the cook and lookedat me. Of course, I heard the rude comment. At this point I will not return to Captain D's. Oh! And if your wondering hepurposefully gave me wilted lettuce and plop of mayonnaise. Thank you so long Petersburg Captain D's. Read more
Great attitude Very pleasant cashier/server and the food was good
I received nothing I ordered. They confirmed my order when bringing it to me via a copy of the receipt. The lady asked if I had... funnel cake fries and I said no. She said,?ok it?s not on the receipt?. She read off the receipt and I confirmed yes it was myorder but what I was given was completely wrong. I didn?t receive a single item I ordered. Called to speak with them and got acall back quickly saying I need to drive back, bring the food I was given and get the correct order. Considering I live about40min away and was passing through after work I shouldn?t have to drive back today, return food I?ve already opened then driveall the way back home. Never in my life?. Was between lunch and dinner time around 2 pm when got our meals, was $34 for 3 white fish dinners , hot poppers, and funnel... cake sticks, fries were a on the cool side and the poppers must have been leftover from lunch but the fish, hush puppies andfunnel cake sticks were all good , that is why I only gave them 3 stars. Not very good at all. Place was dirty. I got 4.5 overcooked baby shrimp in my meal, Should be 6. Very Waxy. No paper Towls in... the bathroom. Read more
awesome food and staff. I highly recommend the baby/popcorn shrimp and baked potato or mac & cheese and fries. they're... delicious!! staff is nice and polite, and patient. first time I'd ever eaten here, and thanks to google maps for leading mehere! Read more
Father in law for dinner. Our food arrived at our table warm and tasted ok for fast food fish. They don't give you enough tarter... sauce and you have to pay for even one extra... AND THEY WERE OUT OF KETCHUP! Who allows themselves to run out of ketchup???!!! My father in law used a walker so we parked right out front and it was easy to get in the door and they're was seating closeby. There were only 2 things I didn't like about my visit. The drink machine in the lobby was out of sweet tea and lemonade sowhen we wanted a refill I had to go to the front counter and wait to ask for refills while my food sat getting cold.... and itwas cold when I got back. The restaurant was cold and I had to wear a jacket inside. The other item was that I went to check onwhen our food would be ready because it was taking a good while and we were ready to eat and get home. I saw our meals sittingon the food bin, counter, ready to go. I offered to take them and was told that I couldn't have them because she had to bringthem out to us. So I had to sit and wait another almost 7 min for it food because they were taking orders in drive through andat the counter. It just bothered me. I could have had hot food instead of warm food had she given it to me. Seems taking someonehot food should be more important than taking an order. It would have taken 2 min. To bring me my food!
