I went in for some breakfast sausage biscuits and donuts in the morning. Staff was friendly and everything was made to order... right in front of me. The store atmosphere had a nice hole in the wall coffee shop kind of a vibe to it. The breakfast biscuitswere pretty good. I was skeptical about the biscuit dough being the right texture (since they started out looking more likebagels), but once they fried up the outsides on the griddle, it meshed in well. It had a nice (what seemed like a) little cajunseasoning to it which gave it a nice heat. My wife wasn?t a fan but she hates anything spicier than milk. And you definitely geta portion size to match the price (so you?d better be hungry). The donuts were certainly different than any other I?ve had.They were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I?m not sure I?d compare them to other donutsbecause I?d say it really isn?t in the same category. We grabbed the sampler platter of sugar, vanilla glazed, and chocolateglazed. The sugar donut was a nice cinnamon sugar that blended really well, the chocolate had that nice deep chocolate flavorthat I absolutely love on a donut, but unfortunately the vanilla glazed was so sweet it nearly gave me diabetes on the firstbite. Overall, I don?t think Beaunuts would be great for the conservative, picky crowd. But if want some flavor and bold takeson a classic product, come on down and support a local small business! High quality donuts! Every week it's difficult to not get at least four of the week's flavors. While more expensive than store... bought you are getting a much better product that you can count on. Only downside is you may need to get there by noon on theweekends if there is a flavor you want, although this is not always the case. The hotdog options are amazing as well. Read more
