Great staff but, unfortunately I?m not paying for the staff, hough customer service is why I gave it a 2 star instead of 1. I... went into the restaurant for the first time and when I received my order it felt light. When I opened it when I got home I foundthe portions were small for the price. Then when I started eating the halibut and fries, it left a very strong film of grease inmy mouth which put me off and didn?t finish. Now I will be looking elsewhere unfortunately. Stopped in for take out as they only allow sheep to dine in. Obviously got fish and chips. There was plenty of food to go... around which was a nice surprise. Fish was kinda bland and the fries were like most fish and chips places, trash. The fishwas cooked perfectly and nice and crispy and hot when we got it home. Read more
I tried this place while visiting my mom at her long term care home. I always prefer the halibut and chips, and I was not... disappointed. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was cooked to perfection. The chips were excellent as well. Theportions were generous. The service was attentive and all Covid safety requirements were enforced. I've eaten here three timesalready...and I'll be back! Read more
I visit family in Peterborough regularly and this time I thought to treat lunch. I ordered from the road in advance to give... everyone time to prepare without waiting in line. 8 pieces of halibut, 5 orders of French fries well done and 4 sides ofcoleslaw. Everything was ready as I pulled up to the store. They also provided a generous supply of condiments without asking. The halibut was cut nice and thick with a very light crispy batter. Not greasy like in the city that I'm accustom to. Servetthe owner also came out to great me and thank me for the business. Olivia was the lady that organized my order without anydisappointment. I will definitely be back for more and more F&C from this establishment. I must mention on my arrival I usedthe restrooms.
