First thing: stop what you are doing, and head to Gator's right now. On your way? Good, let's talk about what you are about to... experience. Amazing burgers? Check. Fries to die for? Of course. But to say that does an amazing injustice to the full range offood. New Orleans is properly represented by this menu. Mud bugs from Mississippi, jambalaya with authentic ingredients, and apeach cobbler to weep over. Specials including red beans and rice, fried chicken, and hand breaded chicken strips with dippingsauces that are all better than the last. Authentic New Orleans beer and wine, as well as shakes... Wow. This is a fantasticcasual place, order at the counter with friendly staff, then head to a table (inside or out) where you'll be brought yourmorsels of magnificence. The chef, whose creations I previously enjoyed at San Rafael's Fenix, has brought his game to a newlevel, with a diverse selection of casual and affordable, with unreal flavor. Listen, why the heck do people line up foroverpriced Puerto Rican food at Sol Food, when you have more authentic flavors, lesser prices, and far less insanity with agreat family vibe here? Try EVERYTHING. Yes, that includes the alligator burger: you'll love it. Don't thank me, thank ChefGator. See you there. Read more

I very much enjoyed the crawfish etouffee. Half serving was ample for my appetite. My wife was less impressed with the BBQ... shrimp, which lacked expected New Orleans flavors. We'd go back. Read more

Burgers, hot sandwiches, and creole specialties. Might be the best burger in town, definitely the best grits and creole. Very... friendly and welcoming. Amazing value, they keep their prices low, but food quality is well sourced (Anson Mill grits! Grassfed beef! House made bread!), and absolutely delicious. I really like that they offer a half-order of just about everything onthe menu. There's not many places in the North Bay where you can dine out well for less than $10. Fast service, even whenbusy, means you can be in and out quick if you need. Try it! You'll be back. Read more

Chef and staff are friendly, environment is comfy, service is fast. From now on when people ask me where to get aburger downtown I will tell them to go here. There are also great options for vegetarians. The buns are homemade, best catfishwe've had since NC Read more
