Menu for Rulfs Orchard in Peru, NY

This place was fantastic. We found it by accident after seeing signs for it on the highway, and were so happy that we stopped... to visit! We arrived before 9am and had the place to ourselves. Our toddler loved exploring the pumpkins in the greenhouse,and running through the orchard. There is a beautiful playground area that has stuff for kids of all ages. There's also asmall petting zoo area with friendly sheep, horses, cows, and alpacas. The whole farm is picturesque, and we were lucky enoughto get some shots of the orchard with beautiful fall foliage in the distance. The market area is also great. They have abakery that started to get busy around 9:30; they seem to be pretty popular. They also sell fresh produce, homemadejams/butters, and cute T-shirts and gifts. We love visiting this wonderful place. We go yearly for apple picking and pumpkins. Our Christmas tree came from here last... year and it was beautiful. We have visited several times to pick berries, pet the animals or use the playground that has sinceexpanded since our last visit in June. They make wonderful donuts and have a great variety of items (food and Jon food) insideif you choose to not pick your own or just want a sandwich or donut. Maybe even a pie. Yummm Read more

Very nice market / store area. You pick apples was very accessible and it didn't take long to fill the bags we bought from the... stand. They accepted both cash and card. If you go there for food keep in mind the kitchen is not open on Sundays. But thebaked goods are top notch. Read more

I went to this place today, and it is a lot of fun. The Macintosh apple trees definitely have ripe for picking apples. You also... have your own choice on how big of a bag you want for apples. There's also a lot more to do than just gathering fresh apples.You can go into the amazingly cinnamon scented gift shop and bakery and just look around, you can see animals at the pettingzoo, there's also a playground with an awesome slide, and I think they also offer hayrides on certain days. Whenever it startsto cool down and autumn is around the corner, this place is definitely worth it to spend some time. Read more

Highly recommend. What a fun little spot. They've got a well stocked store full of North Country produce and trinkets. Their... food was also very tasty. I had a BLT, our toddler had a grilled cheese. Then we also enjoyed the petting zoo and playground.Thank you! Read more
