First time coming to this cafe in downtown Perris. It wasn?t the most welcoming or friendliest environment, but the place is... good. Lots of good food options for a reasonable price. I got a wrap and a Carmel frappe & I enjoyed everything. Food & coffeewere yummy. I ordered before a rush of customers they got, but still ended up waiting almost 20 minutes for my food. Although this is my first review of the establishment, it is not my first time eating here. I order tea,breakfast food, or hot... cocoa. My experience is always the same. They provide a clean establishment; the menu is not overpriced, and the staff are veryprofessional. The wait time is average. I luck up because it is never crowded when I order. ???? UPDATE:Over the course of a fewmonths I've noticed a decline in the quality of service and food. I'm not one who complains about a lot but my past few visitswere below average. There's always a mix-up with my order. Today I waited for over 20 minutes for a "wrap". A large group walkedin about ten minutes after I did and the party of seven received their order before I did. I had to address it with an employee(I'm guessing shift manager) and he claimed that my wrap was being pressed, there was no apology for the inconvenience. I waitedfor six more minutes before I requested for a full refund in which was honored. The fact that it was a mistake on their end isfine but you see me sitting in the dining area as a single guest, it should have dawned other staff that my order had not beenmade yet. Love their authentic coffee wether it's cold or ice so good. Love the whole space and ambiance too. Friendly service.
So after years of passing by this Cafe, I finally decided that it would be a good time to try it out. Once inside, it is very... clean and eye catching with the nice aroma of coffee. Their menu is big and has many choices but they do not serve burgersbefore 11:59 a.m. I ended up ordering a citrus mint tea and it was really good with a nice smell of citrus, while I do wish ittasted more like mint, overall I'll give the tea a solid 4.5 out of 5. Now, on to the wrap, truly disappointing. The wrap lackedflavor and personality, every bite was bland and lacked seasoning. The only seasoning that I could taste was pepper, that's it,and hardly any. Honestly I was expecting much more since most of the reviews of this Cafe tend to be 4 or 5 stars but at bestthis Cafe is a good 2 out of 5 stars, and that's only because the tea was really good. This Cafe is located in Downtown right off the 215 fwy off "D" exit. It can be a bit difficult to find parking on their side as... it's always almost taken but there's a parking lot beside them with a crosswalk which is convenient. La Gare has a full menu butI have just tried their coffee. Today I had a 12oz hot Soy Latte with a pump of vanilla, Yummy! I've been here a few times andhave always experienced great service...staff is super nice, makes one feel welcomed and happy to be there. Local coffee shop in Perris that is conveniently located off the 215. A wide variety of espresso drinks as well as non-coffee... drinks compliment a healthy menu. Not what one might expect to find when visiting Perris but is definitely worth giving a try ifyou are looking for a latte ???? Read more
