Excellent - first day open for season today - June 1. Had lunch: fish soup - excellent flavor & lots of fish & cooked nicely.... Chicken sandwich and salmon burger both excellent and served with fresh green salad lightly tossed in oil. Dessert- poudingchomeur- a vanilla cake with maple syrup - Gaspe specialty & recommend!! Nice atmosphere overlooking wharf & great service Read more
After visiting the old historical General store museum around 2pm we passed by La Vieille Usine to have a pinte of beer and eat... something. We were seated in about 15 minutes. Understandably shortage of servers was visible. Our server took our order veryfast. Beers arrived very fast. Then we waited about 45 minutes for our soup order. Meanwhile everyone arriving after us wasbeing served with their food orders. At one point I had to ask in French "did you forget our order?" She answered. "no didn'tforget" which clearly she had forgotten. The grilled bread that comes with the soup was stale. The soup was nice at $ 25.00 themeal size bowl. Big chunks of fish but broth lacked flavor. If you are at the area go there. The beer selection is awesome. Thefood is ok. Nothing to rave home about. Read more
What a GEM! Where do I even start? From a warm welcome by Philip to LIVE music that everyone was foot-tapping to on a Saturday... night. Everything that followed kept adding positives to the experience. I am a vegetarian. I have had veggie food almosteverywhere in Quebec. I have to say that their vege burger is up there in top 3 vege burgers in Quebec!! A HUGE thanks to theCHEF! After the meal we had the chance to have VEGAN Brownie that was to die for!!! If you are in Perce or Gaspe, find time forthis gem! Especially if you are vegetarian... I know sounds crazy, but it is that good! Read more
I was so pleasantly surprised to find vegan options in Gaspésie! At La Vieille Usine in L'Anse-à-Beaufils, I had their... delicious vegan burger ???? and brownie with ice cream. The other vegan options are dumpling soup and banana split. The burger, which came with roasted veg, dijonnaise, roasted potatoes, and salad, was hearty and filling. I think the patty was Gardein butI'm not certain. The brownie was pretty ordinary (too cakey and not fudgy enough) but the ice cream was excellent! ???? Read more

I travel a lot and visit a lot of restaurants, this one has a charming environment, the food overall is really good, forget the... overpriced crab or lobters club sandwich it's not worth it at all, the fried fish is amazing. My given rating is due to theservice we received, the waitress was extremely rude, she was in a really bad mood. It doesn't matter if you order for 50$ or300$ like we did, you should always provide the best service no matter the race or color of your customer. There was agentlement we think it was the owner, he was really nice. Read more
The biggest bar in the Gaspe Peninsula. Also a cultural center with a theater and live music. Art center upstairs. Great beer... and good. Auval on tap on occasion. Read more
