I lived in Southern California for eight years and got used to real authentic Mexican tacos. Most Mexican restaurants around... here are jokes that are insults to Mexican food. They cater to the gringos who never got out of Peoria. El Mexicano is the onlyplace that I know of to get good tacos. It's very small, an old ice cream stand, but the food is pretty good. They only havethree booths, so you may find yourself eating in your car, but if you get a seat, they bring you really good chips and salsa.Good little taqueria. Try it. Read more

The owner is also a really great guy who has deep ties to the community and really cares about hiscustomers and keeping his restaurant a safe place (for both customers and employees) .
