Really poor experience here on 11/25/22. I've been frequenting Donnelly's since the early 90's and have never had an experience... that would prevent me from returning, until last night. Ordered large tenderloin to share. Asked for onion, extra pickle andmayonnaise on side. Waitress said she would bring an extra plate and an extra bun. Bun was $1.75, charged me .50 for mayo, and.35 for extra pickle. Sandwich had total of 5 pickles. Sandwich did not have 5 pieces of onion so my wife asked for more.Waitress brought a bowl with a few more pieces upon request. Wife had ordered a "house salad". It came out in the pictured bowl.Photographed after half eaten unfortunately. Salad consisted of 4 bites of romaine, one cherry tomato sliced in half and 2pieces of onion. $5.25 plus tax. Initially tried to charge us for first salad dressing and one extra. Waitress did remove thefirst salad dressing after we complained. She had asked if we wanted a side of fries or basket. We asked about difference incost and she said $1.50. it was $3 difference. Tenderloin was luke warm at best when it came out. Never received refill ondrinks. Took 8 to 10 mins after we requested check. Asked for manager and it turns out our waitress was the manager. She saidshe has no control over food portions (salad) and indicated they had "a lot going on back there" assuming that is the kitchenand an 18 top to serve in the dining room. When we walked in we were immediately seated and the place was half full. It did fillup as we were there. We paid our bill and tipped before airing our grievances as we weren't looking for anything other than tobe refunded for the original salad dressing mind you. The waitress was indifferent at best. Not a great representative for yoursmall business. Unfortunately, we will not return. Read more

Nice atmosphere, lovely building and interior. It actually looks like an actual Irish pub which was lovely. There is also a... very pleasant outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. The food was tasty and the portions were sufficient. The ladywho served us was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in the USA. Read more

We were seated and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. No one ever showed up even after we asked for a... server. We left then. Not at all impressed Read more

Donnelly's has a nice atmosphere, very much like a real Irish pub. It's a pleasant place with a rotating draft beer list and... decent (but not great) food. The local food critic has written good reviews about the Reuben sandwich, so I felt compelled togive it a try. Meh. It seemed to be hastily-prepared, with most of the meat balled up in the middle and the corned beef didn'tseem house-made to me (I could be wrong, but that was my impression). The fries were good, especially the sweet potato version, but you don't choose a restaurant just for the fries. The real problem we ran into was the slowwwww, slowwwww service. By thetime the food arrived, our sandwiches were warm/moist on one side and cold/dry on the other. They had obviously been sittingunder a food warmer for quite some time. The waitress forgot to bring part of the order for one person and brought the wrongitem for another. She was sweet and apologetic, but things were what they were, which wasn't great. The redeeming fact was thatwe were in good company, so we were able to enjoy our time together. But the next time I'm in the area, I'll opt for someplaceother than Donnely's. Read more

We ate lunch there today after about six months eating there and our meal was terrible! My wife?s tenderloin was not tasty as... before and her fries were pre made and ice cold! My Reuben was not a Reuben terrible! Corned beef and sauerkraut no Swisscheese! Will not be returning! In this economy the last thing you want to do is cut the quality and raise prices! Very verydisappointed! Read more
