The service was quite lovely. Our waitress Samantha was attentive, making sure we had everything we needed at all times. We had... a big order with plenty of people, and she did awesome. Arrive there at 12:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday Lots of open tables we sat on the patio the weather was good today. We... ordered off the lunch menu it was $11.99 per meal pretty reasonable.I ordered a taco salad my son ordered a chimichanga it wasmost delicious quick fast service we had two margaritas also 1 coke . Approximately $60 with tip. I recommend 83rd and deervalley Peoria Arizona. They have a really nice patio I felt like I was in a jungle I could hear birds the whole time. They dohave a bar with seating to eat in there as well it's quite a large place very popular you could have a anniversary or birthdayparty etc. Read more
Had the most useless waitress Madison, she rarely came by, took 10 extra minutes to get me the rest of my food so my meal got... cold. The food she did bring out had been sitting long enough for the beans to get hard around the edges. Taco salad wasabsolutely soaked in water and the shell was soggy. Couldn't get her back to the table for extra napkins or drinks or to removesome large items from the table so we had room to place our plates. Eventually a busser ended up helping us and he wasfantastic. Still couldn't find our waitress. Told her the cheese was absolutely awful and sour and she just stared at usconfused and grabbed her manager. Managers name was Kim and she was so beyond rude and combative. I explained the issue with theold cheese and she literally argued with me when the cheese made me physically ill. We've been going to top shelf since around2005 and it's gone way downhill. Went from top shelf to dumpster fire. Food is overpriced and consistently makes people sick. Afew great employees like Robert (I believe) but the manager is atrocious and a lot of the waiters are just braindead. Read more
Alejandra our waitress was very good. The atmosphere is pleasant and wonderfully geared to set the mood. Unfortunately the... Mexican food was subpar. The refried beans were presumably out of a can instead of made fresh on-site. They were dry and pasty.Every item on my plate was drowning in melted cheese including the lettuce, which was served warm instead of cold and fresh. Iwould guess they microwaved the plate to melt the cheese over everything. The tortillas were dry and stiff. Enough said. I wouldnot recommend it as my wife and I will not return. Read more
Just went out for dinner today. Very understaffed. There was one good waiter, super nice lady. The rest of them very super rude.... Sat outside in the patio but the chairs were super dusty. I asked one of them to clean it for me but she didn't comr back oreven let anyone know. The food was super bland. Tje chicken and beef was just shredded, no flavoring or anything. Tastesterrible. Great service tonight, decent Mexican food. But I was super disappointed when my plate of rice came with plastic wrap pieces in... it. I chewed on the small pieces of plastic wrap for a few seconds when I finally realized what it was! Told the server. Sheapologized. That?s my review. I didn?t ask for a refund I didn?t expect a refund. But I got no manager response or apology fromthe restaurant. Stuff happens. Better Mexican food can be found elsewhere. Read more
The staff was friendly and fun to interact with. Food was very good. My chicken enchilada was just the right spice/heat level.... Left my lips tingly but not burning. The guac had a great texture and was well flavored. The flan was slightly thicker thanexpected, more like cheesecake than custard but nicely cinnamon. And the watermelon Margarita was spot on. I'm moving to thatneighborhood and will try more menu items I'm sure. Read more
Been eating at this restaurant for about 3 or so years now. Food is usually always solid, I'm a bit more aware now of... traditional Mexican places that have completely different menus. Top Shelf makes great margaritas and the typical AmericanizedMexican food. We met family here as it was a tradition and close to their home. The inside is in rough shape as far asatmosphere, could use some new carpet or no carpet and new booths! Seriously getting stabbed in the butt from a spring isn't thebest impression when you are sliding in to sit down for a meal. We found other places we prefer but maybe we will be surprisedwhen the restaurant is updated in the future and come back in for a great margarita. Read more
