Great food, great owners, open and relaxing dinning room. Phoenix has a lot of greatpizza joints, but Rec brings something different and delicious to the pizza game. With unique toppings and a killer, crunchycrust, Detriot-style pizza is where it's at! Best of all, if you have a large family like we do, this pizza goes the extramile. I will admit, I had no idea what Detroit pizza was before eating at The Rec last week! I brought my family here and we were all... very pleased with both the service and the food at this restaurant. My son said they were the best wings he's had in a long timeand we all loved the pizza! The lunch specials offered here are quite affordable and filling, $6-$10 which includes a drink.This place would actually be a perfect lunch spot to gather with co-workers since there is also a fairly large eat-in area thathas a few arcade games, a basketball shooting game, and some TVs to watch sports. I saw ricotta and had to get The Barry pizza. It was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and I loved the crispy cheese... crust! My friend ordered The Hockeytown and she enjoyed it too. I actually really like this place! I love the Chicago style pizzas and the chicken wings, especially the smoke means!

Lots of toppings on your dog. We had the Cheese coney dog, it had chili, cheese, onions, and mustard on it. The taste was great,... only thing we thought could be better was the chili was warm not hot, so the cheese didn?t melt. The garlic/park fries couldeasily satisfy 2-3 people. Worst pizza I?ve ever tried. The pizza was hard as a rock and they forgot to put the sauce on top, zero sauce, zero flavor. I... feel like they stole my money. Everyone that tried it took a bite and tossed it in the trash. The only good part was that weall had a good laugh. We ordered the Detroit, Florentino, And the Mexican Corn lunch specials. The lunch special comes with a ceasar or house salad... with a drink. Started with an order of fried pickles. Worth trying the pickles with the special sauce. Of the three pizzas, the Mexican Corn came in first for the unique flavor combinations. The restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly. Read more
