We are a group of eight friends who go, monthly, to different restaurants for lunch. Everyone had a different order but the... Sizzling Sea Base was the favorite here. The food arrived so that everyone started eating about the same time, the one waiterwas pleasant and always asked if the meals were going OK. Read more

Food is fine. Service is lousy at best... We are new to Phoenix area and looking for real Chinese food. The dishes are... reasonably and competitively priced for American-Chinese food. But if you expect service, don't bother. We walked in and no-onegave us a greeting of any kind. After standing at the door for several minutes, we were motioned to pick our own table to sitdown. Then a very unprofessional teenage looking kid with unkempt hair took our order. He did not even write down the order. Ofcourse, the order came up wrong, and then we were blamed for not making it clear to him. We ate the food, not half bad, andtaste fine for American-Chinese dishes. But wouldn't pass for good authentic Chinese food. We may or may not go back. If we goback, it would be for the reasonable price, and can't find any other decent Chinese restaurant in this new town we moved to; ifwe don't go back, it would be for the total lack of service and unprofessionalism. Unassuming restaurant with an eclectic mix of Asian cuisines. It's not exclusively one type of food. We started off with a... delicious and generously sized Thai tea. Then we got a whole bunch of food that I can't quite recall. I will say, they dontmake chow mein. They do have other types of noodles which are comparable. The crispy orange chicken and crispy orange beef aretop tier. They are thin this get extra crispy upon frying. If there's one thing on the menu to try, it's either of these 2. Iwould say I prefer the beef though. Read more

Sorry to say they lost a star since my last visit. A very inattentive server never came by to refill water, ask if we needed... anything else or if everything was okay after bringing the food, etc. I was glad he and others were wearing masks but all coulduse some customer service training re: providing a welcoming atmosphere and trying to be helpful. The prices have really shot upsince last visit which is a shame since they could've reduced portion size a bit (looking around, most people left much of theirentrees since they were more dinner-sized) and kept the reasonable lunch specials prices they had. Think they changed to a5-spice seasoning in the egg roll which I am not fond of. The oil either needed to be changed for the fried items or left in forless time as they were darker than they should've been. The fried rice was clumpy and seemed reheated via steam or microwave sothe grains were not individually covered with oil and separate like fried rice should be. The green beans were fresh andperfectly cooked in with the beef. I still praise them for providing a full course meal starting with the crispy chowmeinnoodles(not from a can), soup, appetizer, egg roll, entree and egg roll. My friend's Honey Chicken was bland and definitelyneeded the soy sauce, sriracha, duck sauce(which was way watery).Very nice background music that allowed for conversation andpeaceful dining. This is a great little family owned restaurant that has been here forever. Excellent service, great food, and you get more than... what you pay for! If you are in the Sun City area, T&J is a must stop! Read more
