I ordered Barbque Burgah which was perfectly cooked, tasted great, and very filling. I got four my sides gumbo and corn pudding... which were both good. The gumbo was spicy and a big serving for a side. Same goes with the corn pudding. I enjoyed my food andwas served quickly. We ordered here for pick up using the link on google maps. When we arrived they had no order. So don?t use the google ordering... link here. I?ve had mixed success using that. At any rate we ordered take out at the counter, somewhat aggravated.Surprisingly our order for four was ready in less than 10 minutes. No complaints against Voodoo. So I?ve been on this BBQ kick and decided to check out VooDoo today. First I?d like to say, EVERYONE was so friendly ???? They... have a lunch special which consists of a sandwich, side and drink for 9.99+tx I choose the chicken sandwich with their bbq bakedbeans?..NOT disappointed! The chicken was smoked to perfection! Solid food, really unique take on BBQ that you won't find at any other location, but it's an acquired taste as the food is very... deeply, richly smoked and that becomes the predominate flavor. While I appreciated it, my wife didn't. The portions are fairlysized and I doubt you'll leave hungry. Beyond that I was unable to get half of my order due to them being out of several menuitems, such as the chicken salad, sweet potatoes, etc. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "No, we're out of that" whileplacing my order it would have covered a quarter of the bill. Lastly, the price was considerable, definitely on the higher pricetier for local BBQ spots, and no military discount to speak of. Certainly something to consider if you're planning on being abit more frugal. Still, I'd recomend giving the place a shot at least once, I personally enjoyed what food was available toorder and it was worth the experience. Read more
Heard a lot about this place. Figured my wife and I would give it a shot. I was immediately disappointed with my experience. As... soon as he told me my total. For two people it was $50. The portion is that we got they speak for themselves. Very small. Thefood was mediocre and the portions were small especially for the price point. Being that Pensacola is so close to New Orleans,We have actually had New Orleans barbecue and spent much less than that and fed two people and had the real deal. This is whathappens when corporate America takes over a barbecue joint in franchises it out. The staff was friendly and attentive. That wasthe only positive. The atmosphere was okay.
