I have driven by this restaurant a few times and decided to stop by with my wife and I am glad that I did. The food was... delicious, try the blackened shrimp and the fried green tomatoes are some of the best that I have ever had. Our server wasfirst class, I would go back for the service alone. Enjoyed a delicious lunch here. I had the gumbo and my husband had the fried shrimp with red beans and hushpuppies. The gumbo... was delicious! I tried the fried shrimp too and they were also very tasty. They had a different kind of batter. It was light andcrispy. Shrimp were of a good size. There were 12 in the lunch portion. Highly recommend. There is also another restaurant nextdoor as well as a gift shop. We didn't go in because a storm was coming and we needed to get back on the road. Try it! One of the best restaurants I ate at during my stay in Pensacola! The food was delicious but what really made our experience... was Sharon from the gift shop. We stopped in to browse while we waited for our table and she was the absolute sweetest person!She was extremely helpful and just so nice!! If anything, stop by and say hi to her and buy a few things ?? From the restaurantwe ordered a few appetizers and the shrimp and grits. This is a very good seafood restaurant. They have a good menu with lots of fresh seafood choices. Gumbo, Cesear salad. Shrimp... and grits, fried shrimp and crab cake sandwich were all delicious. The key lime pie dessert was wonderful, cheesecake wasdelicious also. Servings are a bit expensive but HUGE so you can take home leftovers. Staff is very nice and helpful,restaurant is clean and pretty. They also have a gift shop next door with cute shirts, jewelry and good cookbook. Read more
It's worth making a trip just to eat their Grits A Ya Ya! The most creamy grits filled with bacon bits, scallions, and perfectly... seasoned and cooked shrimp. We also had the fried oysters, which were crispy but not quite fried as long as we would haveliked. The hush puppies are fried golden brown with just a hint of sweetness. The creme brulee had a crunchy sugar glaze overthe soft pudding. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. The view is beautiful and the vibe ischic casual. Read more
The drinks we had at the bar ahead of being seated were by far the highlight of our experience. We were sorely disappointed in... the service by the wait staff and in the food. The appetizers sounded amazing, but $14 for one crabcake was absurd. The mealswere flavorless. Everything needed salt and seasoning. The best entree was the seared tuna. The greens, pimento Mac n cheese,and hush puppies were bland. Fish and shrimp breading needed spice and seasoning. Our server was not good on checking back withus once food was delivered.
