Not bad, but not crave-able. The pork skewer was cooked perfectly and had an amazing crisp outer layer, but was surprisingly... bland. The jerk chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the yellow rice was awesome. Plantains were hit and miss, as some had toomuch crusting, and some not enough, but still good overall. The restaurant itself seems to be a blend of Jamaican and PuertoRican. Read more

Made it to Pensacola by mistake and was recommended I check Joe?s Caribe, so I did? From the moment you walk in you?re greeted... with welcoming smiles. You immediately see all the temptations of the bakery teasing you as you walk to the dining area? greatsales tactic!!! The dining area is clean, also welcoming, and beautifully decorated. Everything on the menu looked and soundedamazing, but I chose to have a neat empanada as an appetizer and there?s no remorse in that! Fluffy, stuffed, hot, and flaky!!!Perfect. For lunch I had the arroz con gandules also fluffy, flavorful, and moist! Of course, I had to have maduros (FriedPlantains) that sweet to balance the savory is a MAJOR KEY as my protein Pernil, which was perfectly cooked, moist, andflavorful. Joe.. you killed it! Definitely coming back!!! For my ?No Español? family, you?ll be pleased to know se hablaInglés, you?re in great hands ???? Read more

Food was ok, I had the churrasco, meat was not what I expected. Rice was cold and the casava or yuca frita was a small portion.... I paid $20 plus my jugo de guanábana, soursop fruit drink. Their customer service was good. I would recommend serving the meala bit warm, not room temperature, and cooking the meat to order. I didn?t like the taste, tasted like liver. Read more

First trip to this amazing place. As I walked in I was warmly welcomed. There were so many yummy looking things in the case as... you walk in. I made it just in time to order lunch. I got the jerk chicken w/ yellow rice & plantains. I haven't had food thisgood in years. There was actual heat and my taste buds were doing a little dance. Definitely will be back. Read more

This place had the most deliciously seasoned food! The empanadas were flaky where they needed to be and they did not skimp on... the meats on the inside. I was able to get delicious Hispanic food and Jamaican food. The owner came out to help us personallyand was so friendly! I almost forgot about the daiquiri. It was so well put together I forgot there was alcohol in it. It wentperfect with our meals. I will definitely be back before I leave the area. Read more

My husband is ???????? Cuban and Puerto ???????? Rican . We have been searching for a great place to eat Cuban/Puerto Rican... food since moving to Florida. Needless to say, this kinda missed the mark on almost everything we ordered. The flavors justweren't there. Most of the meats were dry and just really under seasoned. The rice was bland. The plantains were too big. Myhusband cuts them into thin straps and fries in butter... My husband is an amazing cook. We will just continue to make our ownat home and save $100. The one thing that was seper delicious was the flan. The place was super clean and our waitress wasgreat!!! Read more
