I left 5 stars on the first visit, but today I'm downgrading to 3 stars (average). The first visit (May 6, 2019, believe it or... not - a month with no "r" in it) the oysters were full, plump, cold, fresh, and succulent, out-of-this-world delicious! Thistime (September 5, 2019) we sat outside. We were given a choice of Pensacola Bay oysters or Louisiana oysters (our femaleserver talked us into Pensacola Bay ones, so that's what we ordered). Well! She served us Louisiana oysters anyway, withoutcoming back to our table to inform us that they were out of local Bay oysters. The ones that were served were small, gritty, anddark (as opposed to the expected light gray). I exclaimed to the server that they weren't what she described to us, but "I" atethem ONLY because I already had my heart set on some and they were right there. I also naively ordered "sushi", although thesushi menu seemed MUCH more "basic" than true sushi menus. I should've listened to my gut feeling, but I went with two differentsushi for as main entree. The rice fell apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks, and it wasn't as chilled and fresh as"real" sushi restaurants. Never again. We've yet to try the Fish House, but will give that a shot one night. That will be thedeciding factor of whether or not we revisit the establishment in the future. Service was "eh". "Good", (meaning 'average').Our food came in a timely manner (thanks to the cooks on a Thursday night), but no friendliness/smile, nothing memorable abouther except dark hair and chubby? She appeared to be there to do a 'job', but that was the extent of it. We do enjoy theatmosphere though! Read more

Not so good.. The main course comes 4 minutes after the appetizer comes and waits on the table. The portion of the catch of the... day is too small. And grouper was not so good. Presentation was bad. Gouda cheese grits is really really good. Read more

So moved this to the top. Now my personal favorite, they sell blue angel support Fish House post card but they do not support... the military. Let's start with the positive, Justin our server was very polite and hustling, maybe had to hustle to much. Theoysters were prime top notch, just like at Crabs on the half shell so hard to mess up. The one star I think my only one is therest of the meal. Now we did go for a late dinner so the fact no fish of the day not a big deal. We decided to go with groupergrilled and snapper blackened. Chef seems to think blackened = burnt, I could cut the skin no problem it was on the bottom butthe top I had to power through and the whole thing was dry. Unfortunately since it was a late dinner I just powered through eventhe box mac and cheese. Both our asparagus had to be cut with a knife tried with the fork but to hard. Wife's seasonal vegetablewas a few unseasoned broccoli. Her grouper was also dry and below average. Check my other ranking this is the longest for areason. Also both places which appear to be the same on Google maps actually have two check ins. . Read more

Always bomb! The oysters, the grits and the fried green tomatoes are always good. The last two times I've been, I've had the... blackened grouper and it has been way salty. Hushpuppies are meh, not awesome, not terrible. Read more

I love baked oysters and I've eaten them all over town. This being an oyster house I expected better. They took forever to bring... them out. Saying that they were over cooked so they redid them. Also they only had the housemade hot sauce and Tabasco. I reallywanted crystal, Louisiana or even trappey. I also had a whiskey drink called Renfroe. It was good. We also had a ribeye andspinach pecan bacon salad. Those items were excellent. The steak was huge and cooked perfectly. Read more

I was in the mood for seafood with a view and Atlas delivered both. I came with my niece and we shared the seafood platter, 1/2... dozen bakers, and one dozen raw oysters. So we had oysters three ways and they literally melted in my mouth. The platter alsoincluded Grouper and shrimp which were cooked to perfection. The weather was beautiful making it a perfect night to sit outsideand enjoy the view and the bay breezes. I loved that the booths we're far enough away from each other that you didn't feelcrowded making Atlas a wonderful place for a intimate dinner. Read more

This place has the following going for it: +. 25 oysters on Mondays til they run out +Will the waiter... His service is... outstanding and I sincerely hope he makes great money here +outdoor seating... Beautiful The food was just OK. I got the MahiMahi special and it was drowning in this watery creamy pesto sauce. Bfs grouper was better. The 25 cent oysters were on thesmall side but still tasty and clean/prepped well. We also ordered charbroiled and they looked a lot more baked to me.. Coveredin cheese, no bread crumbs.. It was OK but not what we expected. The menu is ambitious.. I'm just not entirely confident onexecution. Not running back any time soon. Read more
