My boyfriend and I literally just left their parking lot and had to write a review. Our food was that excellent. We got the crab... dip and chips as an appetizer, he got the salmon tacos and I got the mahi tacos. The crab dip was so perfectly creamy andcheesy. The mahi and salmon in our tacos were incredibly fresh, buttery-smooth, and the slaws that came with them were socomplimentary to the seasonings used. The chef is talented, staff very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is veryclean with great decor. We plan on coming back here for the seafood platters very soon. When you go in they have the same menu with higher prices. The seafood combination is too little for what you pay. I had a... shrimp sandwich, was good but they put the coleslaw under the shrimp and when I took the sandwich it had a whole in the centerand the coleslaw fell on the plate. I think the coleslaw should be on top of the shrimp so the bread didn't get soggy. That'show I saw it in one of the pictures. The corn fritters was very good. Read more

Shags Crabs & Seafood is probably my favorite spot to get crabs. Prices were pretty decent at first glance, but after they... cooked and cleaned it in old bay and garlic, I realized that this was a great deal! By far some of the best crabs you can get insouth jersey. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself and your family. Also this place has great customer service. I placed myorder the day before and they were ready for me to go. I was on the phone longer then I was inside of Shags. Shout out to them.Also the inside was very clean and homey. Really delcious crabs, got half a dozen (steamed w/ Old Bay & garlic), good fried scallop basket with fries (they forgot or... slaw, so can't comment on it) and good hush puppies. Cute little place, nice staff. Pretty reasonable. Read more
