Me and my coworkers had just gotten off a ten hour shift and were looking to hang out and settled on waffle house as it was... early in the morning and we were hungry, Jess our waitress did a wonderful job serving 8 and was very patient and on drinkrefills! Worst we have seen it yet! No "hello" when we came in. Two waitresses we were too enamored by the local cop to wait on us. ... Food was good. Waitress never came back to check on us as three of them stood around discussing "her". Was not given a ticket,had to go to register at which time my husband told the gal they were gossiping too much and not taking care of customers. Ladies bathroom dryer was not working just like last month and no paper towels available. We have been coming here for the lastthree years on our monthly trip to Ft. Wayne. First time ever visiting a Waffle House. I have to give it 5 stars. It?s been around for so long, successful, and delivers what... it is. Small, not a ton of seating, cheap breakfast prices, not a big menu, servers are nice - you can tell they do way morethan other servers at other restaurants, 3 servers, two cooks and a manager running this place. Food was delivered as expected,it?s basic breakfast food! It was clean in the areas we are eating, behind the counter a little messy but they just got donewith the breakfast rush. Will be back. My son and I had breakfast here. We both had Texas toast breakfast sandwiches. I had grits, which were great and my son had... hashbrowns and ruined them with ketchup. Otherwise the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly with a nice crisp on top. We asked forour sandwich eggs to be cooked medium and they were. Our coffee never went empty as our server Kaylee was very attentive. Theemployees were kind, we were greeted upon entering and told to have a nice day on our way out. I love Waffle House and stop whentraveling as we have none in Wisconsin. Read more
Jessica and Brady (The Server and Cook) on third shift, are our favorite!! Always get our food in a timely manner, as it is... still hot, the perfect amount of choc. Chips on waffles as well, never have to ask her for extra syrup, it's already there!!!Great job to the whole staff, they say the employees are only as good as their leaders!!
