My experience was amazing! The staff was excellent!! The server was amazing and hit every point. The bartender was excellent and... knew the crowd. The only reason I could give a four star and not a five star is because, I think a restaurant in this category,should have homemade fries and pasta. If you do not serve gravy and ketchup then you should not serve frozen fries and grocerystore pasta . Otherwise this place is excellent!!! Read more

Wife and I went for a nice and quiet dinner at the Oak Door and had an excellent meal and a great night. The 20oz rib eye was... one of the best steaks I?ve had and my wife really enjoyed her swordfish. We went at 5:30 and the place was not too busy so wecould enjoy the evening. Read more

What a pleasant surprise to find such a gem in Pembroke. The Oak door is a step above and frankly rivals any fine dining in... Ottawa. The prices are on the high side but the entire dining experience is worth what you pay. We had an incredible server(Kevin) that we will ask for in the future as he helped make the experience extra special. The food was outstanding. My husbandhad steak cooked to perfection and I had lobster pad thai which was simply delicious. This was our first time but it willdefinitely not be our last. We are new to the area and we are so happy we discovered The Oak Door. The menu was so appealing and it was hard to make a... decision. We were very happy with our choices but also intrigued by the offerings we haven't yet tried! Christie was ourserver and she was very lovely. Attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning in this beautiful chateau. This would be my third time dining at the Oak door in Pembroke.... The food is quite good, I did order the spinach and beet salad which had a lot of oil added to the dressing and unfortunatelythat was all I was really able to taste. The presentation was lovely and the server was equally as lovely and friendly. It is abit on the pricey side for the portion sizes that you receive. I came to town for business, didnt expect fine restaurants in the area, oohhh boy was i surprised, where to begin, the... restaurant itself is an old hoise remodeled to a 5 star restaurant that makes you feel at home. The food, its AMAZING, 6 starsto the chef, have come in two days in a row, and the food is just better the next day, excelent flavor, the servings are justperfect, the quality of the food is above fresh, just amazing taste bite after bite. The service and attention is what youwould expect just by being un Canada, always smiling, everyone is extreamly friendly and cortious, the owner makes the eveningjust perfect and the owner makes you feel at home, my server was on point with every recommendation and very friendly, justperfect evenings each night. Had a lovely evening here as a group of 4. Beautifully decorated front and entrance, warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in.... Dining area was very comfortable, nicely decorated, pleasant quiet dining even with a few groups around.
