Tess's Kitchen is a small restaurant in the small town of Pelham, TN and of course the food is home cooked and delicious. When... we arrived it looked like the place was in someone's house, literally! Yet inside the seating is cozy but comfortable enough andthe people are very friendly. There was a menu on the wall and the waitress realized that I had never been there before, so sheimmediately brought me a printed menu. Food service was a little slow but no worries, that when I was served it was worth theshort wait. Food was fresh cooked homemade and very good. I travel a lot for business so finding these little gems in theselittle towns is such a treat. Good food and good people always make me feel a little better when I traveling. The absolute best food ever! This taste just like grandmas southern cooking! I've had everything from their Chinese stir fry..to... a chicken salad to the catfish! Everything amazing! My absolute favorite is the catfish, slaw & turnip greens! It is very homey& you will always feel a southern welcome! Pam is the best!! Don't forget to get dessert! Read more
Stopped for dinner since it was the only place open around 5on a Saturday. We were enjoying a night away and wanted to try a... local spot. It was so homey inside. Great little restaurant in a very small community, have both homemade southern style comfort meals & Asian (Philippine... influenced) plates... As per meals listed on the daily wall chalk board ar delish & with very generous portion... My coconutchicken with fried rice was delish & my wife's pork chop (large) with the best Mac & cheese ever definitely tasted homemade plusapplesauce... Definitely a stop by place if your every in the Pelham, TN area... Highly recommend, place is loved by thelocals too.... Read more
