Great food! Clean and the staff were friendly! Food was hot and delicious! Met the owner Steven AKA "Ox" and Deiana (sorry if I... misspelled your name), were very attentive! Ox, overheard my conversation with Deiana, it was our first time there, he came upto us and introduced himself! He used to live not too far from me in the BX. The kitchen is maybe 20 mins from my home now, Ipray his business expands and he will open more kitchens! The food SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, will TAKE FLIGHT! I had the oxtails riceand beans and the Mac and cheese! The oxtails we AWESOME seasoned to the bone! The meat was tender and melts in your mouth!! Ahint of spice, not much, ACTUALLY just right! The rice and beans- the rice was fluffy, the beans, tender and flavorgalore! The mac and cheese NICE!???????????????? it's rare I eat and cheese outside of my home and it tastes like Mac andcheese! My daughter had chicken tenders and waffle fries! Now I usually don't care for tenders, but these were actually verygood! I would order these for myself! Tenders- they were crispy and juicy and the seasoning was out of this world! Wafflefries- Who doesnt love waffle fries?? I haven't seen waffle fries in a good while. They were crispy as well and huge! In all itsawesomeness!! Second daughter had garlic parmesan 6piece wings and waffle fries. Wings- tasty, seasoning didn't over power thetaste of the wings! I had my doubts about mixing oxtail and cheese on top of fries but surprisingly, it was tasty. The portion size is big enough to... be shared. The flavors are fine, but there's nothing that really stands out, as I prefer more bolder spicier flavors. The food here was mediocre at best. The mac and cheese wasn?t seasoned and instead they just threw cheese on pasta. The shrimp... was seasoned with old bay and That?s was it. I?m not sure if this was supposed to be Island inspired but the rice and peas hadno coconut so I guess it was rice and beans. Very overpriced for beginner level seasonings and spices. I could taste theoverpowering jerk sauce in the oxtail. It didn?t have oxtail flavor. Spent 50 dollars on two plates of food and we barely wantedone. Very disappointed. Read more
Support Black Owned Businesses! The place is located right off the highway with street parking in front. It says take out only... as the restaurant has no places to sit down and eat inside but they do offer side walk seating. I ordered their loaded Oxtailfries with cheddar cheese. The oxtails were delicious and tender. I?m not a big fan of a lot of cheese so there was too muchcheese sauce on the fries for me but if you?re into cheesy fries I would say order this. I ordered fried Shrimp & Salmon with fries. The service was flawless. They took my order and gave me regular updates on the... progress. The food, omg the food was delicious. The fries were not soggy the shrimp was seasoned very well. The salmon wascooked properly and full of flavor. The amount of food definitely fit the value of the price. They take both cash and card so itwas convenient. The owner made sure my order was to my liking and was engaged during the process. The overall experience was agood one for a new shop. I'm glad that it's a black owned business and I hope they do well. Read more
The curry goat is amazing tbh. If you get it fresh, or delivered within a short time, it's probably the best I've had so far.
