This place has been on my 'want to go' list forever, and I finally made it! There was a line when we went, but the staff got... through the people in a timely manner. Some people may think this place is a little pricey, but they give you plenty of food. Ihad baked chicken, greens, okra and tomatoes, corn, and cornbread on the side---ALL OF IT W A S DELICIOUS! I couldn't eat it allin my first sitting, so when I reheated it the next day for dinner, it tasted even better! I will definitely return! Read more
I can't say enough good things about the food here! The portions are so big you can make two meals!! The meatloaf is smothered... on a bed of rice and not lacking in flavor. Collard greens, green beans, okra and tomatoes, all AMAZING! No salt and pepperneeded! True soul food, like straight from grandma's kitchen! I stopped by here after church today and ordered through the drive through. I ordered baked chicken with okra and tomatoes,... mashed potatoes and green beans. I really enjoyed my meal, I believe my favorite thing was the okra and tomatoes although it hadbacon and a little greasy (which I removed). My least favorite was the mashed potatoes. Horrible! First and last will not return, so called pepper steak was not cooked and the cake either old or over baked it was dry... and crumbly. And you cannot get a refund, but they want to give you more food, why would I want different when what i returnedwas half cooked.... Read more
