I really wanted to like this place because the vibes were cool and everyone was very nice, but the food just wasn’t good ????!... Started off with miso soup , which was clear as water and had 0 taste . Then ordered some sushi and it was okay iguess but itwas badly rolled , would fall apart when picking it up with chopsticks and had way too much rice ( they were huge ). :( thehibachi chef was so nice and sweet , but my whole plate was so bland , we all had to put so much salt to taste anything . We had a great experience at Happy Sumo! We went on a Friday night and Marco was our Hibachi artist. He was hilarious and highly... entertaining!!! The food was delicious and the interactions with Marco made for a wonderful evening. It was a little moreexpensive than we expected but it was a lot of fun and the food was great. Read more
I have never been so horrified by sushi rice in my life. Sticky and gummy. I am still appalled by how bad it was. The service... was cold and extremely impolite. And, like other reviews said, they automatically added an 18 percent gratuity. It may have madesense if we ate at a hibachi table but we didn't? It also would have made sense of the service was great, but it reallywasn't. Good job, happy sumo! You've made it so I will never want to return again. Read more
Got there to overhear a patron arguing with the owner about some bill they got. I had called ahead to announce a party of 9 at... 8:00. Got there and regardless of the fact there was empty hibachi seating we kept being ignored. It wasn't until I gathered myparty to leave that they frantically seated us. The saving grace is that they gave us their best chef who was very entertaining.Our meals were great so our chef saved the evening for us. Read more
My whole family and I have loved this restaurant since I was a little kid. We’d come here after baseball games, shows, for... birthdays, and everything. Idk what the deal is with the bad reviews, but I still love this place. It’s been around a longtime and it’s getting harder and harder to make it in Peachtree Corners. My dad is a pretty picky eater and he loves thisrestaurant. I recommend and I will be back. Got the filet and chicken hibachi. YUM! Read more
Another great sushi place to choose from. They also provide a hibachi experience if you have the need. Sushi menu is nice.... Different restaurants have different combinations. We’ve tried the Crazy Roll, Peachtree Roll, Mike Roll and Super Yami Roll. So far so good. Popular lunch spot so go check them out. Read more

I went to happy sumo for lunch n they sat me down in front of the grill as usual n when I told them I was by myself they would... not cook for me …. They said it was company policy n then I asked can u show me wear that is stated or even on menu … Iwould rather for the food be cooked in front of me then behind a door ….. worse experience ever Read more
