So delicious!! I am visiting my sister who lives in Beverly, and she & her husband took us here last night for dinner. Not only... was the food delicious & margaritas great, but the staff was so so kind! They give yummy complimentary salsa, and dinnerportions were incredibly generous, we even left with leftovers! This will definitely be our go-to spot whenever I visit. Such agem! Read more

Went on the evening of 8/19. We had a great server, and although I can?t remember his name he said he?d lived in the area for a... few years and had lived in Florida and Texas. The service was great but he also gave us great tips on where to go and what tosee. The food was tasty and we both had good portions and tasty margaritas! Would go again. Read more

Went on 8/7 with family. The waitress was friendly and went out of her way when serving my children, making sure they got what... they needed. Food was delicious (got coconut shrimp, enchiladas rancheras, and a jalapeno cucumber margarita with spicy salt onthe rim). The kids menu had many options (both of my kids got a taco with rice). I wish I took pictures but I highly recommendthis establishment. Read more

My partner and I walked in after a long day at the beach, greeted by drawings from children on the wall, a friendly host that... helped us to our table, and an older gentleman singing and playing Mujere Divina on guitar. We started our meal with drinks, which were very well priced, and packed a good punch that was well balanced and delicious. The owner came to our table to checkin, thanking us for coming in, we talked about food and Mole (I have always been told you can tell the quality of a Mexicanrestaurant by their Mole, and man they KILLED it) He was so excited to share his mother's mole with the table. Milovan theserver took wonderful care of us. He equaled the excitement of the other employees and he made us feel very welcomed. Helped uswith my dietary restrictions (vegetarian), and really helped guide us on what to get. In total we both had 2 cocktails, anappetizer, and 2 entrees (and a couple extra sides of mole). This totaled about 40 a person before tip. If you are hesitatingon going to this restaurant, don't. My only regret is I discovered it 2 weeks before moving to Chicago, when I have lived herefor 6 years. I would go back every week if I could. Read more

I have ordered take-out from La Siesta, Peabody three times and have made the decision not to ever eat there again, here's... why. The food is a knock-off for authentic Mexican and is mostly bland. The portions are extremely small and might even beconsidered purposefully stingy as well. I love nachos and 2 of the 3 orders I have made were the nachos. Another time I orderedsomething with pork that was so salty I can only assume that the chef does not taste what he/she cooks. The salsa could easilyhave been from a jar it was so unimpressive. The guacamole may have been made by hand but it was over processed and such a smallamount as to be negligible, it was also tastelessly so it might have been some inferior supermarket brand too. The refriedbeans, ground beef, salsa and sour cream were all stingy amounts and were all so disappointing and really did not seem thatfresh either. How the heck do you mess up nachos, it's just really good tortilla chips and salsa, the work's already been donefor you!! Do not order the margaritas to-go or to-stay, also disappointingly bland and close to alcohol free. As much as Idesire to support local restaurants and especially authentic fare, this was not that and I don't plan to ever return. I can makebetter nachos at home and have! For help with lunch if you are looking for the flavor of Mexico, you won't find it here, it'smore an American style take on Mexican food and truly inferior at that. Read more

It been a long time since I've been to a restaurant that provided the level of customer service we experienced last evening. The... owner gave us a small history of some of the items on his menu and there was also a guitarist who played while patrons ate. Thefood was delicious the drinks were great and our server was awesome. They really went over and beyond. I tip because itscustomary and cultural, but this one time I can say it was deserved. Please make sure to patronize this establishment. Read more

The restaurant is wonderfully decorated with carved, painted art on the seatbacks in the booths. I highly recommend the Callitos... Tampiquenos, 4 large scallops in a mushroom chipotle sauce over rice. Also, don't forget to check out the vault from therestaurant's previous life as a bank. Read more
