A few days late, but we found this "hole in the woods" bar(& restaurant) and I thought it was the neatest place. Service was... great, the bartender/waiter challenged me to finish my famous double d burger and onion ring's....I ate all but an onion ringleft over and drank three brews. The music was super nostalgic and I loved that a lot. Not the typical country music you'd hearat a bar-like atmosphere in northern Arizona. Even all the dollar bills were entertaining, there was one that said "ASSHAT" andbeing the Supernatural fan that I am, that made me really excited. Definitely will return. Read more
We arrived around 4:30pm, there were no open tables in the bar area because people left their bags/backpacks at the tables, at... least 6 people outside smoking cigarettes right by the front door. Apparently the law for smoking 20 feet away from the entranceis not followed here. We sat in the cafe, the server asked what we wanted, assuming we knew the menu or wanted the Tuesdayspecial. We asked for a menu and ordered drinks. 3 other tables were seated after us. All 3 other tables got food and drinksbefore us. We waited 1.25 hours for food and finally decided to leave. We paid for the drinks and the server said the food wasready in the window, but we couldn't see anything??????? The server was the only person working the bar & cafe areas. Insummary, poor service, no food and a beer! I think we'll skip this place next time. Read more
Good was great and atmosphere was fun. Service was abysmal, basically non-existent. Got the prime rib special and we both... ordered the medium size but one was much smaller than the other. Luckily the meat was cooked well and very tasty. The potatoeswere old school slow cooked baked potatoes. Only low point of the food was the veggies, they were a soggy overcooked mess likeyou would get in an old diner or many are growing up at home before we learned how to cook them right. We really enjoyed ourdinner and not sure if it was the slightly off time we visited or staff was just in a party mood since it was Saturday on theholiday weekend but I had to get up and go get menus after about 10 minutes of sitting there waiting. Then took forever to takeout order, food took quite a while to come out, and I had to go get up and go to bar to get it drink refilled or all forcondiments that they forgot it needed anything extra. And had to wait for bar orders to be taken before I could even ask forwhat was needed. Bartender seemed to be the only one working. The other workers seemed to be congregating and more interestedin karaoke starting soon than anything else. Good was great and we would go again but hope the service was a fluke. Read more
Great food! Atmosphere is lagging unless you like a bar scene as that is where we had to eat for lunch. The bartender was a... great gal, but she had no help. She had to tend bar and service the lunch crowd. Not a long wait, but not a place for kids.Again, the food was outstanding. I had the Mexican pizza. Which was basically a toasted flour Tortilla with hamburger meat andveggies. My wife had the wings which were excellent as well. I would recommend this place for the food for sure. No ambiance,dollar bills stapled to the walls an old baseball (used) hate nailed to the ceiling. Oh, if you want ted something from thegeneral store, you had to Wade through bar patrons to pay the bartender. Bless her soul! Read more
