When it's open its good. Mostly closed all the time due to staffing. Will be better once it's more consistent.

PBC raises the bar when it comes to bread and pastry. We love their breakfast pastries with bacon and egg. The scones are... outstanding and the sweet pastries with rhubarb and blueberries are far better than anything you could buy in Europe! Thankfulwe have this wonderful bakery in Pawling. Read more

A lovely bakery with a decent selection! A bit tight as you walk in, but plenty of seating out back and upstairs. Great staff,... welcoming and helpful for first timers. Last I checked their menu online is inaccurate, as their kitchen situation has changed. But I'd still recommend for a coffee and bite to eat or hang out! Read more

Flakiest croissants! Warmed with some coconut jam on the side. Hubby enjoyed his usual?soft boiled eggs with milk toast... (w/cultured butter and coconut jam). Everything served up has been scrumptious. Almost everything is made in house. A definiteplace to check out. Read more

Sorry but what kind of bread store runs out of bread in the morning? Especially a bread store that is only open on the... weekends. Went there twice on Sunday mornings. The first time all they had was 2 loaves of white bread. The second time theywere totally out of bread. They have a small selection of pastries- the usual croissants etc. - prices are high at $5 to $6each. They must have spent a lot of money fixing up the place. Upstairs has some very nice seating. But the menu is very, very, limited with pastry, grilled cheese, and not much else. It?s a shame. But how often can you keep trying and hope they still havestuff? Read more
