Great Food and Service. It has been a few years since we last visited and we found Bistro 217 to still be very good. Being a... Bistro type restaurant, the dishes include numerous ingredients and lean gourmet. My girlfriend had the Pear Salad and thePan-Seared Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops with Sundried tomatoes, and scallions in parmesan béchamel over fettuccine. I had theFrench Onion soup and Eggplant Treasure Chest Local shrimp, scallops, Grouper in basil-parmesan cream sauce over friedeggplant. I enjoyed the Eggplant Treasure Chest, which consisted of Local shrimp, scallops, and Grouper in a basil-parmesancream sauce over fried eggplant. Everything was excellent, except the French Onion Soup, which included a bit too much bread formy taste. The portions were generous. The service was excellent and prompt. As soon as we were seated a breadbasket wasplaced on the table. Our server, Carrie, was knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and professional. She checked regularly to besure we were enjoying our meal despite having a couple of large party tables. The restaurant was slightly on the pricey side -but the value was good considering the quality and quantity of the food. In an area with so many restaurants, The Bistro 217stands out for fine dining. We are looking forward to a return visit. If it were not for the onion soup and the noise level, Iwould have given this restaurant a perfect rating. Read more

This is an amazing spot. My boyfriend?s aunts, mom, and I went out for lunch here earlier today and the restaurant was spotless,... the staff was super kind and helpful, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I have never had a salad before in my life and Ihad the honey-lime chicken salad?it is to die for!! I ate the entire thing and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I honestly... Only got a picture of the bread basket. Everything else was so wonderful and delicious that i honestly just kept... eating and didn't put down my fork. They make they're own ice cream and its amazing. The calamari was perfect and thevinaigrette with it was magnificent. I had not a single bad though leaving this place, only a desire to return. We didn't have a reservation, but they had no problems accommodating us by seating us at one of the front outside tables. Angel... took great care of us from there all the way through the dessert menu. My snapper special had an incredible mix of flavors. Thepimento cheese was top quality. Lemon tart was light and not overpowering. Great option on the more formal side. Read more
