I used to live around this area around 2016-2019 and this restaurant was the best dominican restaurant around. Omg! Amazing... food, the service, the variety was just top tier. But I do t know what happened, i went today 10/29/2022 and horrible. Thefridge for the drinks almost empty, the dessert fridge only w 2 cakes, no morir soñando that should not be out of stock in andominican restaurant. I asked for maduros, the lady told me it was gonna take long. Also the service horrible. Before they had 3to 6 dominican girls helping you with food and today it was 2 Colombian girls with horrible skills. The food mmm i dont know illgive it 6/10 el pollo a la brasa was very very hard. I usually don?t like to give low reviews but ordered for pickup, 35$ for 2 orders and was pretty pricey for a lunch of... vegetable rice and like 5 Tiny chicken strips, which was supposed to be a full breaded chicken breast and I didn?t receive that,the rice smelled weird like old vegetables, which I couldn?t eat, the steak with onions were undercooked and they gave verylittle rice for the amount they charged with no sides which i was very dissatisfied, The first time we ordered from here thefood was decent so I figured I?ll give it another chance, I?m very disappointed I had to rid of the food and I tried callingthem to give them a heads up about the old rice but got no answer. Was looking for a place to eat lunch yesterday and we decided on stopping at Mama Elena's based on the reviews. I got Rice with... chicken, Chicken Stew, plantains and a few fried chicken strips. My plate was full and the price came to under $10, which isreally good. The food was delicious but the chicken stew was a bit salty. If you mixed the Stew with the rice then it was OK. I would go back to this place again and try other things. It was busy when I got there so I know the locals are going there toeat. Read more
Good place for a good dominican breakfast. The yuca was a bit hard but I know how difficult is to get good yuca. Fried cheese is... a home run. Mangu out of this world. Read more
