The young lady that works at the counter is very very sweet and welcoming, I really like her. The food is so delicious!!!! My... grandkids get the Lo Mein noodles and protein and the flavors are amazing, the noodles are al dente and taste so good! I gotthe Protein dinner plate with Chicken as my protein and it is amazing!!! The flavor is so delicious! The food is made freshwhen you order it. The young lady brings you fresh cucumberand lemon infused ice cold water that is so delicious!! I love it somuch that I don't have to order Drink because the water is more than enough, and she keeps the fresh water coming. The Edemameis so delicious, it's sautéed in soy sauce and garlic and is amazing! They have Smoothies and Boba Teas, the boba on thesmoothie is so delicious. The Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Boba is really really good! Try them!! Honestly, anything youorder there will be delicious, they don't go wrong. I have been looking to find the best bahn mi in Pasadena and try new Asian fusion food as well. I ordered pickup over the phone,... but when I tried to order the shredded chicken bahn mi they said they were out and recommended the grilled chicken one instead,which I agreed to. I requested they add spicy Mayo to the sandwich and the employee said they could do that. When I went to pickit up the employee was sitting in the dining room on her phone. She stayed on her phone for a minute, ignoring me at thecounter, before finally getting up to cash me out. She was not too friendly but that?s whatever, I didn?t order takeout for theservice. Now to the food. The chicken quality on the grilled chicken bahn mi tastes great but the sandwich is completely missingALL of the vegetables that come on a bahn mi (and are listed on the online menu). I literally got chicken and Mayo (not spicylike I requested) on the sandwich and nothing else. I also got the brisket bahn mi which is more expensive and lists caramelizedonions as a topping. The onions on my sandwich are completely raw. That?s fine, albeit disappointing because I was excited forthe caramelized onions, but that?s not how it?s listed on the menu. My fiancé said it is mostly tasteless, which I agree. Alsothe online menu lists that the brisket bahn mi is served with a side of salad, which I did not receive but I did get an extracup of what tastes like pho broth which I did not order. But it only had broth and green onions in it so I cannot fathom howthat would be a substitute for a side of salad. The Tom Yum soup was fine, personally I didn?t love the flavor but I think thatis an issue of my taste preferences as it was quite fragrant. I?m just really upset about my bahn mi being so plain and missingall the flavorful veggies which are the whole reason I love bahn mis! It's a cute little restaurant that feels pretty relaxed. My waiter was nice, but not very attentive as they could have been. I... enjoyed my Vietnamese coffee, I didn't really enjoy the taste of the fried spring rolls, and my Garlic Noodles were good, butactually tasted like Alfredo which was a little weird. Seriously the food here is really good. What a great hidden gem. Amarri was an amazing server!!! And the hot fresh buns where... amazing. We had a lot! the wonton soup large is such a generous portion! The bahn mi sampler was my fave get the fresh buns ...The appetizer sampler was also amazing. Came here on their opening night and it was marvelous! The service was incredible. Had the pad thai, and they pulled it off.... Wasn?t over fried or over cooked or too oily, it was rather perfect. Haven?t been to a restaurant yet that can pull off a goodpad Thai. The cucumber lemon water is seriously so refreshing. Pictured is half a serving of the spring rolls (4 half rolls) andthe tofu banh mi. Will happily be coming back in the future.
