Ok diner. Service was good. Food was ok. Chicken soup was too salty and noodles were overcooked. Chicken fingers were good and... moist inside. Seafood platter was ok, shrimp overcooked, scallops good, fish was good, crab cakes were ok but seasoning wasbland, cheesesteak was so-so, and chicken avocado wrap was lacking avocado. Read more
Our food was good, but unremarkable. Our server was nice and did a good job. We don't eat out much since the pandemic, but when... we do I'm much more aware of the cleanliness of the restaurant. I was disappointed to find a coffee stain on our table (wedidn't have coffee) which makes me wonder how clean the rest of it was. Mistakes happen, I get it, I'm just more particular in apandemic. I really wanted to like this place. Ever since I was a kid, I loved eating at diners and I was really looking forward to trying... this one since it always looks so busy whenever we drive by. The decor looked nice and appeared clean, the bathrooms were okay,etc. But unfortunately the food just did not meet my expectations. We came here on a Monday evening. There was no wait, but theparking lot and dining room were pretty packed. Nonetheless, the food came out very quick. But the food was lacking in flavorand quality. The service was okay. We had two waiters (one was being trained) and they were very friendly. They were quick tobring out drinks in the beginning, but after that, I was the only person at my table to get a single drink refill. The food washit or miss. Two people at my table got side salads while the other two got soups. The side soups are very small while thesalads were quite large. They serve an entire loaf of bread (which tastes very plain and honestly isn't worth thecalories). When i go to diners, i typically like to order breakfast food or burgers. But Monday night is apparently steak andrib night and I am not someone who can pass up a special on steaks. So sure enough my husband and I both ordered steaks. Myhusband ordered a rare prime rib and I ordered a medium rare New York strip. The prime rib was HUGE and it came out the correcttemperature. My New York strip came out medium well to well done. I decided to send mine back, which isn't something I likedoing. The waiter was very friendly about it, however when it came back, I cut into it and it was blue rare. I really did notwant to send it back a second time, but fortunately, my husband was more than happy to trade with me. So i ate the other half ofhis rare prime rib and he ate the very rare New York strip. As for the flavor, I felt that the prime rib needed a bit moreseasoning. First time here with my family. Everyone seemed very friendly and nice. Our waiter Ray was great! I ordered a Caesar salad and... Chicken Parmesan with mixed spinach and rice for a side. The food was hot and fresh and my CP had flavor. My only complaint isthe processed spinach with zero flavor. I will probably give this place a try again. Read more
