My husband and so went in to have one of the lunch specials. We each ordered the 4oz. Crabcake.,,for 10.99 each and they came... with crackers. The crab cakes were smaller than the palm of my hand, it was filler...and very salty. Almost 24.00 for twolittle cakes. I was so disappointed. Never again. Read more
I haven't been to AAS in 35+ years. They say you can't go back, it'll never be the same....WRONG! It was as amazing as the last... time I ate there. I got a hard fry and cole slaw for take out. It smelled so good (and is best enjoyed fresh from the deepfryer) that I peeled back the paper and delved into the hot, crunchy batter. ???? My teen never experienced a hard fry andwanted a chunk of hot batter too. He was impressed. When I got home, I ate the center and some more batter and part of my coleslaw. I will finish it shortly, but wanted to say thanks for bringing back memories of my Grammie packing us into the back ofher station wagon, the windows down and taking the long trip from Annapolis to your restaurant. And thank you for not changingyour recipes or becoming some fancy restaurant. This is a great place for the family to get some good seafood! Read more
Always seem to have good seafood selection to choose from; either steamed or fried. It should be noted or made more clear for... first timers. You go in the market side and order what you want by pounds or dozens to be steamed. If you want fried fish orother foods, then you go to the other section, where the beer coolers are and place an order there. It's not clear where toorder what and where it you go in here for the first time. Just follow the locals leads. You won't be disappointed with thefood. The prices are fair, crab legs are a little high right now (July 2022) 34.95 a lb, but they are high everywhere. Read more
Best seafood place in Maryland, any and everything you want! You will love it
Consistently good seafood. The place is pretty big with nice picnic tables throughout. There are separate sections - 1 to order... raw or steamed seafood and 1 to order fried food, sandwiches, sides, and desserts. You get a ticket after ordering and then theticket is called over a loudspeaker for you to pickup. Everyone is very nice and we have never gotten anything we didn'tlike. Don't miss out on the desserts either. They have a bunch of different cheesecakes. Read more
The reviews here are really good and I wanted to enjoy the food but unfortunately I did not. So the selections on both sides of... restaurant are not bad. It appears to be well maintained and clean inside. Every employee I encountered was very nice. My foodwas hot and fresh and smelled good. Unfortunately, the disappointment came with zero taste. Old bay & butter are historic withseafood so it?s nothing wrong with using it but in 2021 it?s just boring to have this as the season to prepare the food. Had lunch here a couple times and the food was great. A great selection of fresh seafood. You can also get carry out here and... take home the good food. The only negative I have is that the restaurant area is very uncomfortable. Mainly picnic style tableswith an outdoor eating area. I guess this is practical when eating crabs. Read more
