Wow- absolutely delicious! This cute little taco place in Pasadena is so perfect for a small lunch or a more indulgent meal. The... staff here were really friendly and it definitely has a neighborhood favorite kind of vibe. I'm not from the area, but my dadworks nearby and while visiting he insisted on bringing me here. Wasn?t sure what to expect when this place comes up - their tacos are great! Had their pastor, Asada, carnitas, and their... papas. So good. Street style. Their sauces are delicious, if not hot enough. Chill atmosphere inside and they had aguas frescastoo. Their avocado sauce was dope. Read more
SAVORY ?? SWIFT ?? TASTY After seeing the high rating for this place we were sold, so popped in for a quick bite and man oh man... was it worth it! If I could give this place a sixth star I would. We found street parking right in front of the establishment.As soon as we entered we realized we arrived at an excellent time. Definitely before the dinner rush. We ordered a Shrimpsalad, a carne asada taco, and a tostada. Everything was excellent! Especially thr shrimp which was seaoned very light, whichwas confident and delightful. The shrimp was also so well cooked! Very tender and scrumptious. The taco bowl to the salad was SOnice! It is more like a filo pastry dough, which was so light and crip. A perfect pair to the salad. I was able to eat theentire thing without feeling overly full. The carne asada was some of the best I've ever had. The taste was a little brighterand more exciting than other tacos I've tasted. I'm guessing it's a combination of the marinade and the way it's cooked & servedhot and fresh! The meat is just savory and addictive. We also ordered a hibiscus and classic margaritas, served with chamoy onthe rim. The margaritas are pre-made but so refreshing. First time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised. My intent was to stop by and grab a quick snack to hold me over but I... ended up having dinner here. The tacos were great and the Jr. Nachos could have been called the XL Nachos. I wasn't expectingthat portion size for the price. I The food is great but their draft beer selection is even better. After living in Pasadena for years I finally checked out this place. My wife and I shared a burrito and nachos and it was... delicious. The burrito was 10/10 but the nachos were a bit average. The beer choices are great too! The Head in the Clouds HazyIPA is definitely my go-to if I ever return here. Read more
Where was this place when I went to PCC?! I recently moved back to the area and saw this place open up. It is a wonderful Taco... joint. They are family owned and you?ll almost always find various family members working between here and their otherlocation. Teddy is very friendly and always greets his guests. He makes everyone feel right at home. The food feels home cookedand Teddy is very particular in where he sources ingredients. The meat is juicy and authentic. I dropped in to have some streettacos on Taco Tuesday and was very pleased! I then got talked into trying the Azteca and Jalapeño Tacos which were alsogreat. I most definitely will be back! Excellent tacos and nachos. Don?t forget to add the housemade agua frescas to your meal. We had watermelon and pineapple.... Adriannas Nachos with chicken, street tacos with carne asada, carnitas or al pastor were all delicious and well worth thewait. Make it a stop on your next trip to Pasadena.
