Wife and I were in the neighborhood, saw this place and decided to get some stuff to try and immediately regretted not getting... more food! We got an asada torta, two asada tacos and a chicken taco and everything was excellent. The meat was juicy andgrilled to perfection. The red salsa was spicy and very flavorful. The Avocado salsa was not spicy but very refreshing andflavorful as well. Saw a few other dishes while waiting for my food and that made me want to try even more food. Taco Libre for the win. Have tried several spots for burritos in the Old Town area. You get what you pay for. * Tortas Mexico... is $11 and OK but not fantastic. (Tortas are great, so go there for that.) * King Taco is $7, but they're small and leave youfeeling unsatisfied, like you need another burrito. * Taco Libre will run you $13. But that is fair for what you get. What Ilike about Taco Libre burritos: * Choice of black or pinto beans (most places only give you pinto) * Big, satisfying, didn'tfeel hungry after * Bursting with flavor and salsas are yummy Sour cream & salsas complementary. It is a very delicate and small burrito shop. The taste is very good. The space in the shop is not very hygienic, but the light... and layout are still very attractive. I like the burrito here. Read more
Overall their food is good. I?ve tried things from their menu that were nothing special, but I went recently and loved their... nachos. they were super flavorful and filled with tons of toppings. I would come back to get the nachos. The inside is clean andthe service is quick. Read more
The Carne Asada Torta I had tonight was delectable. As well as the green salsa that it came with. It didn't taste like... ordinary salsa verde. Perhaps it is a guacamole salsa. It definitely compliments the sandwich well. Taco Libre also assurednot to put onions in my Torta, per my request. Which I greatly appreciate.
