Incredible sandwiches. We got the Guru, Hey Joe, and the Big Band. The combinations may seem overwhelming but every sandwich we... got struck the perfect balance of heft and flavor. This is my favorite type of spot, the mom and pop place that delivers in allfacets - fantastic food, friendly service, great music and ambience. Disappointing!!! I came here after a referral from a friend who lives in Altadena. I first asked the cashier if they had any... "low sodium" meats? The cashier asked the woman (black woman) making the sandwiches and the lady making the sandwich respondedwith a rude facial expression followed by a rude verbal response, "NO!" I have a friend on a strict sodium diet due to a medicalcondition so that question is applied to him. So scratch his sandwich, onto my sandwich!!! I opted for the "Hip Bird". As Iwaited I had nothing to stare at like the other customers, but the people making the sandwiches. I see the woman making thesandwiches put the completed sandwiches in front of her in a cubby spot. She then asks the cashier, "who was the person thatasked about the low sodium request?" The cashier motions towards me. The sandwich making lady puts a sandwich aside in herlittle cubby spot in front of her where there is a plastic cover. That already made sandwich sits there for about 10 mins as shecontinues to make other sandwiches. she finishes 2 sandwiches and calls the customer's name. They pick up their sandwiches. Thenthat one sandwich that was already made and she put in the cubby spot sitting there for about 15 mins now (which she knows ismine because she asked the cashier who was the person that asked if they had a low sodium option). Well she calls my number!That sandwich is mine! So she purposely out of spite or whatever you call it made me wait knowing it was my sandwich and it wasready way before she started making the other 2 sandwiches after mine! Not sure why she was so salty about my question with thelow sodium? But I guess she must be really evil to act like that and think that customers don't notice her actions and attitude.So that was my customer service experience for my first visit to Perry's. Awesome place for a good sandwich. I started a new job near by and already went to this place twice . The sandwiches are freshly... made and with a good portion of meat too. The staff was so nice and took care of me with a smile and great service. Try theroast beef! Read more
Before we even entered the door there were amazing smells wafting down the street. The atmosphere is warm and the music they... play is very soothing. Aesthetic inside is a cool, jazzy, and calming spot (joint). Also the owner is super friendly and worksright along side his employees; you can just tell he is a people person. The food itself is a can't miss and explains why thereare double digits worth of people here even during an off-hour. We'll be back for sure! Read more

I had the Chicken Mingus (chicken salad) sandwich and it was delicious! I've been reliving it in my memory all day ???? I asked... them to hold the mayo and add jack cheese and tomato to my sandwich.
