This is my "go to quick lunch spot" when I am in this part of Pasadena. The sandwiches are always fresh and their coffee is not... bad either. I usually do have a nice person take my order. In the future, a little updating of the actual indoor seating areamay be in need. I met some friends for lunch on Saturday. I ordered the macaroni and cheese, the small size. I have been eating low salt, so... it took me a few bites to adjust to the regular level of salt in the very creamy sauce. It was very good, much better than thatpoor excuse for a meal in a box with powdered cheese. Read more
Waited thirty minutes got home to this disappointment. Order was wrong and gross.
Walked in to ask about cakes and lady had the additude the kind that just didn't want to work. I kindly asked her questions on... cake prices and she replied with lack of energy to answer. I normally like this chain of establishments, and my meal here was OK. The ingredients were fresh, food has pretty good flavor,... but the mustard they used on the sandwich was all I could taste. I don't mind a strong mustard, but if that's all I can taste,I feel I'm missing out on the turkey, ham, and bacon flavors on that sandwich. That was a bit disappointing. Read more
Typical dine in cafe experience - order food at counter and later pick up when your buzzer goes off. We had a coupon that the... employees easily applied to the order. They have a new Shrimp Scampi Linguine pasta dish, Club Sandwich and Blueberry Hand Pie(pictures below). All food was ok, bread in sandwiches and garlic bread were very good. Shrimp Scampi had about 6 small shrimps,diced tomatoes, parsley - I squeezed a little more lemon juice. Employees are consistently friendly and attentive - I startedbussing my table and an employee came and took out dishes for us. Easy parking options in their shared private lot. Read more
