Update: this place has dramatically improved over the past couple years. It's always been good, but now it's great! I ordered... sliced brisket, Mexican corn, and Mac and cheese. All of it tasted like it just came straight of of flavor town! If you're inthe Paris area, and you enjoy good brisket; you should give School Bros a chance. Read more
The food is bland at best ! The turkey on the day we came was pretty good . Nothing to write home to mama about . The sides are... from a can and have no taste at all !! The portions are small and the price is huge ! $23 for a sampler plate and I wish I couldhave given it back . There is no music or anything in the dining area ( no atmosphere) and you can hear everyone's conversations. The place I'd disgustingly dirty ! See photo . And you eat with plastic utensils on a red cafeteria tray (not in a good way )with no plates just some butcher paper under your cold food ! It felt like I was eating a lump of pork fat ! The "pulled pork "was pathetic ! Save your money and go eat Applebee's the ribs are far better there !!! The second pic is the front window glassbut it is covered with black tar like soot !!! But it is all around the window . The whole time we were there I never saw anadult ! Just three brothers all aprox high schoolers , and one female child ! I am from NC and we make homemade bbq in a smoker so I'm very picky when it comes to bbq. I can honestly say their food is very... good. I got the pulled pork with mexi corn and the potato casserole. It was sooo good! Read more
I might eat here again but I won't try anything I ate tonight a second time. I ordered the Rib Platter. The ribs where largely... disappointing. For the price I expected more. Both in quality and quantity. It was more chewy than I would have liked and asidefrom the sauce didn't have a notable taste. The corn was in a warm creamy sauce which was tasty but the corn itself also didn'treally have any taste and had a weird uncooked texture. The macaroni didn't have any big pop that I was expecting. It wasn'tbad, but it wasn't better than microwave quality. Both sides where very small, the amount I would portion for a childprobably. Personally I think any time you get any form of bbq from a bbq shop it should come with a side of bbq sauce. Thepulled pork sandwich didn't not come with any sauce. It was good but would have expected the bun to be buttered andtoasted. Again, I'll probably be back, just to try something else. And I?ll update my review at that point. Read more
Everything we ordered was cold. And not fresh. Wasn't a fan of the texture. Hate to say it but least impressed I've ever been... with brisket or ribs. We had high expectations and were very disappointed. Staff barely spoke. Only one other table besides usand the dining and drink area were very messy and spills everywhere. I needed help and stood at counter unassisted until wejust left. The building is cute. But the food and service definitely not reflective of the price point. Read more
